I gave this a fresh listen and like it even more than I did when I first heard your version. I like that you give it your own spin, but also maintain all of the very unique qualities of Dolly Parton's version. In many ways, you manage to capture her signature aural bits but also capture elements of the film version of this song (where many different voices contribute).

I rarely like a cover since the original creator typically has the best grasp on their own material. Maybe it's a Dolly thing though. Since "I Will Always Love You" is a fine song when she performed it but was positively transcendant when Whitney Houston performed it. Whatever the case, this is good and I'll have to listen to it more often!

hey buddy...this has always been one of my favorite songs..however, not an orginal dolly song..its from the orginal Broadway production of "the best little whorehouse in Texas'..and its not even a christmas song..but you cant tell muszac at Christmas time!! lol..its about a bunch of whores leaving the whorehouse...lol..
