Using the Geico slogan and changing it with Ron Paul was ingenius! People always see that on airplane banners and commercials so they already are clued in.
It's a simple array of lights, each controlled independently of the others, all driven from a computer. Imagine your monitor is only a few pixels by a few pixels (instead of 1024x768 or whatever) and 1 color ("on"/"off") and the computer is running a program to display the things you see in lights in this video, and you've got the idea, more or less.

It's a simple array of lights, each controlled independently of the others, all driven from a computer. Imagine your monitor is only a few pixels by a few pixels (instead of 1024x768 or whatever) and 1 color ("on"/"off") and the computer is running a program to display the things you see in lights in this video, and you've got the idea, more or less.
