  • lovely one of my favourite Fahey tunes-played great.

  • Much obliged, Mr. Hambone.

  • This is a lovely blues and open C gives it a particularly moody, sultry feel. 5*'s

  • Thanks a lot. I know what you mean about the tuning. I originally learned this in D, but once I played it in C I could never go back.

  • best version

  • Nice work buddy.

How come the youtube versions vary so much? Is it because some play it in Open D and others play it in Open C? Which way did Fahey play it and do you have a tab for the Open C tuned version?!

  • Well, there's different versions of the song. The original version (the one I played) is in C, but Fahey later extended the piece and changed the tuning to D.

Unfortunately, I don't have a tab. I just transposed it from the D version, which was easy since the fingering is mostly the same.

  • My personal favorite Fahey tune.

Great work and fantastic sound on your dobro.

  • Thank you. Gotta love the resonator.

  • Great job Roscoe!
