It's like magic crystals or astrology, it's a very outdated form of pseudoscientific medicine. Urine contains vitamins that your body didn't need or couldn't use, but that's all from your food, and you wont get any benefit from it that eating the same food again wont do much, much better, as urine contains ammonia which will make you sick. It works topically for dandruff, but not well. There's "useful" compounds in almost everything, but it would be unscientific to assume they are fungible.
