  • this was a replacement of another easter egg on the japanese version

if you put "totakeke" in your name, the music is changed by the totaka song, a song that is played secretly on many nintendo games

  • I did this when I was six years old on Link To The Past. XD

Seriously believed he just happened to have a girly name.... in my defense, he WAS wearing tights.

  • Zelda is not in that game anyway

  • Zelda has to rescue zelda.

    TIME PARADOX

  • they say typing zelda as your name has an effect in every zelda game ever.

  • @DeeperBlueX16

Nope, only a few games has an easter egg effect when typing ZELDA.

Zelda 1 and Link's Awakening are the only notable ones.

  • @Greenalink um actully in Wind Waker if you tpye zelda as your name the entire soundtrack is altured with tweaks and new songs.

  • @Greenalink

No, Oracle of Seasons/ages has a bigger, More clearer, effect.

  • whats the point of that

  • actually it not only changes the music but unlocks an expert mode trust me without it i got to the end with it i could't pass the first castle

  • hehehee.... that was awesome . i was 4 or 5 and i typed ZELDA as name because i was bored and then i was shocked because i thought " WTF....? whats happen?" that was the best easter egg for me. XD

  • i did this and it destroyed my game

  • I used to make my name ZELDA, then delete the file and name it whatever I really wanted it to be, just so I could here the epic music!

  • Lost this game recently.... my first Zelda game too :') so many childhood memories

  • O.O"

  • cha-cha-cha!

  • awesome...

  • Cool! I never tryed that

  • Memories... my first real favorite gameboy game.

  • it works on the DX version as well, well, it does on my eumlator :)

it's epic, when it started playing, i was like, DUDEEE xD

  • nice, but Moyse's Song is better.

  • SAMBA!

  • The Theme? Duh?

  • I feel like i remember this, my brother had this game.

  • yea i hate the battery good thing they changed it for the DS :D

  • If you type "ZELDA" in the "Legends of Zelda" for Nes, the Link icon will it have a sword. :)

  • And you get the second quest

  • the 2nd quest the dungeon's are in different places.

  • OMFG i left my Legend of Zelda: LInk's Awakening DX game in the dust for a couple of months and now every time i turn off the game it deletes my file automatically!!! any help on the problem or can i nvr turn my gameboy off when im playing again.? WAAA i really want to beat the game again (even thoug i beat it....7 times already)( im a ultra noob -.-)

  • get the rom?

  • The internal battery went dry. The same thing happened to my Pokemon silver.

You have to OPEN the catrige and change the battery.

    But your file is lost.

    Forever.

  • My pokemon silver died too so \i gave it to my friend (who was the original owner) saying it died because of old age...

Thankyou so much for saying that!

  • lolz if I open the cartridge ill probably break the thing in half. XD. aw well. my first gameboy game is ruined forever. at least ill still have the memories..

  • You could take his advice and replace the battery, he isn't lying.

  • or you could play your first gameboy game on a emulator.

  • I've tried that. I used to have an emulatpr on my old laptop. But since I got my new one, I haven't downloaded one yet.

  • well... then hurry up and get the emulator nd the game. just leave a message on my youtube channel. i got a site wich has all games. for all consoles.

  • or do you by anychance got a r4 and a ds because i know a way to play gbc and gb games on your ds. :)

  • Sadly, I do not.

  • I have an r4/acekard how to i do that?

  • You can sell it. I bet somebody will buy it and change the battery.

  • i have both versions of the game lol

  • i ahs dis game for GBC =P and i thought you got a harder game with that name =/

  • my third n64 comes first and Majoras mask looked better

  • It's not as cool as the Japanese version..

  • pitty thats all it did.

  • whoah

  • My first game was just "The Legend of Zelda" for the NES

  • Wasn't this version remixed for Donkey Konga?

  • My first game was Ocarina of Time then Wind Waker.

  • I remember when I first got this game I thought Link was called Zelda so I just typed it in and didnt know it was a cheat. LOL

  • The first cheat I ever learned was typing Zelda in to the original Zelda game for NES (1984/5) You start on game 2 and Link is holding a sword. You get the sword and game 2 after you beat game one in it's entirety!

  • This is suppose to be Totaka's song in the japanese version isn't it?

  • No this isn't the Totaka's Song.

The Totaka's Song is coded in the game but there isn't a way to hear it yet (or never).

  • Hey cool it was my 1st Zelda game, too!

  • Mr Write's house i think

  • There are 2 different Totaka's songs in this one. The simple series of notes and the other one which is (related to my previous comment) one of the 8 instruments playing the Totaka's Song.

  • I know quite a lot about this game, and I've never heard about the latter song you mention. The only two I've heard of are the one that plays when you wait in Richard's house and the one that plays if you type in Totaka in Japanese on the Japanese version?

  • I've known about this secret since the game came out. Good vid!

  • I GOT THIS GAME!!!

  • congartulations... > > .

  • Nice.

  • haha, this was my first Zelda game too. I love the classics

  • My Friend taught me that cheat

  • Thanks for this video XD

My favorite music in any GB game is the Mt. Tamarach theme, but I like that tune too.

I'm guessing you know about the music change if you hang around the house of the guy who wants leaves?

  • yeah, I do.

It's that Tokoate song which is an Easter egg on many games.

  • To me it's just "the Mario Paint song" because that's where I first heard it :D

  • i found this unintentionally myself, like uhh, 10+ years ago?

  • Ah the memories. This is easily my fave Gameboy game ever. Didn't know about this secret. Love the funky version of the tune.
