The role of Hammond was made for Don. He didn't even have to act, just be himself. In a world full of mediocrity and other injustices, there are perfections that make us all smile. Don would be quick to deny himself as such, but we know better. Still missing you, Don, rest in peace. And thank you.

i only just found out about his death! I've watched Stargate from the age off 11 but stopped about three years ago during uni but have gotten back into it over the last two months, catching up on old episodes and watching episodes i missed. I'm really shocked by this, as i say Stargate is a show i've watched for thirteen years now, since it's début, your favourite shows and actors like Don can have a strong influence on you when your at that age, for me it was a good one

I liked Don S. Davis as SGC commander better than Beau Bridges ..I just never could see him in that role

@xadam2dudex the shoes were too big for him to fit in! Don was such a great choice for a commander + father figure.

OMG! I only found out about his passing last night, on the SAG Awards! I literally cried my eyes out! I was shocked that he died so young!!!! He will be forever missed by everyone who watched SG1!
