Great quality post. The Man had an amazing set of pipes. Rod Stewart was once quoted as saying "Miller was the only white singer who had brought a tear to his eye" Very Apt indeed.

I was listening to Tom Petty's Buried Treasure Show on Sirius?XM Deep Tracks channel, and he played this song. I really liked it from the beginning. He said after the song that he could listen to it all day! I agree!! Never heard it before! LOVE IT!
Frankie 'the voice' Miller thats who!!! only man to make my heart sing and cry at the same time.......been out of circulation myself for a month , couldnt wait to get back to hearing your fine self Frankie mate luv you loads. moniker XX ps. toastie clip from boys game as am sure you all know now
Great stuff. Saw him loads of times, Rainbow in London, festivals in the '70's. Always killer. Kind of cursed by the Paul Rodgers thing I think but obviously a great singer. Real charismatic on stage too. Sat next to him in Glasgow a few years back at an Eagles' stadium gig, he was in great spirits but looked pretty poorly in his wheelchair bless him.
fantastic...i wanna hear paul rogers now...i know frankies guitarist from those days...henry mccullough..great singing...great band...loved hearing that again
It definitely has a Free feel to it, not least because Free's bassist Andy Fraser wrote it.

@AlainRymenants Frankie Miller is Scottish, NOT English. Rod Stewart, although born in England, had Scottish parents and sees himself as Scottish.

It is all a matter of personal taste ofcourse. I do like Alex Harvey too, but to me listening to Frankies music is like meeting an old friend.

Love it Billy, although I'm not familiar with the song. Believe it or not I sing his song "Darlin" in my show.
