Admiring the professionalism of Elton John here... he knew danged well what he could do, and didn't try to sing what Freddie did. Even back when EJ had high notes, he didn't have them like Freddie Mercury. And maybe the reason certain musicians were in it instead of others who might have been able to sing the songs similarly is because these guys wanted to be in it! Some of them were his friends, I understand. That's worth more than a perfect performance in this case.

As a Queen fan I find this concert particularly emotional and special. It's just so great that all those artists and friends of Freddie gathered together to play Queen songs and to homage Freddie. I think Freddie would be so proud, he never thought he was this important, I am proud of being his fan and this concert is fabulous and it's all that Freddie deserved.
