Bumblebee wasnt made by Hasbro it was origanaly part of the Mucroman series by Takara. The Classics version is a generic Hybrid style. VW/Porshe doent want their name attached to ANYTHING regarding war.

You see bumblebee in all four seasons and when I mean bumblebee I don't mean goldbug even know that there the same guy you see bumble in season 3 on return of op prime and you see BUMBLEBEE at the end of season 4 rebirth part 3 were you see cerebros looking at the autobots and you see bumblebee jumping up and down.

Haven't seen all of Cybertron but I would say Hot Shot (different from Armada) would most likely be the teen-bot from that series. Also definately either Sideburn or Wedge for RID.

They have repeated the cheap Cliffjumper trick with the new movie range, A repaint of the concept Camero. I am not to sure if they have repainted the 1979 version, But I would assume so.

His bio describes him as bumblebee's opposite, Being very hasty and hotheaded. A bit like G1 Cliffjumper then, lol.

BTW, cliffjumper was not a red repaint of bumblebee, he was a porshe 944, unlike bumblebee who is a vw beetle. However, there was red repaint of bumblebee, and there was also yellow repaint of cliffjumper.

Ok i got to follow up on the Bumblebee VW thing. During WW2 VW company used KZ prisoners for labour power, and has ever since haunted VW. In the late 80ties the company paid millons of $ to the former invovled KZ people and thier families. Since then VW wouldn't contribute with nor name nor design to anything with a wartheme to it. That's why you'll never see a VW Beetle Bumblebee or Goldbug.

There's no particular team-bot in the Cybertron/Galaxy Force series because the all have nearly the same "air-time". Jetfire which also acts as Optimus Primes 2nd in command may be the "team-bot". You really should give cybertron a go. The first 8 episode are a bit dull but it's actaully a great serie IMO... I never liked armada/energon.

Actually, G1 Cliffjumper is slightly different from Bumblebee, he's more angular, looking like his Classics form than a volkswagen. As for the absence of Bumblebee from the Alternators line, there were plans made, even making it as far as having final designs made out but Volkswagen didn't want to be associated with war-toys any longer so they said no. Rather than pay off Volkswagen for the rights to their car, Takara just simplified the design and released it as Classics Bumblebee.
