@Gallowell Patlabor is set in the late 90,s (a episode of Patlabor was set on old years eve 1999 and the 98 in AV98 possibly stands for 1998) in other words we are lagging behind a bit

This is fail, the labor doesn't look anything like any of them in the series, period. Which, aside from the wonderful and unique characters of the series, makes the entire fucking show.

Seriously, you cannot take THAT much creative licensing on a series that has a huge and loyal fan-base. HERE'S LOOKING AT YOU TRANSFORMERS.

I'm incredibly grateful they didn't make this movie...Can you think of a live action adaption to any anime that has been good? I didn't think so...and DON'T SAY GTO...that was TERRIBLE live action.

What a terrible ingram ! The original design is one of the best compromise between beauty and functionality in japanese mech history, it should no be altered if there's a movie one day, what they made with transformers is a shame, they looks like made of trash. (BTW the cartoon was rubish, nothing compared to Patlabor, EVA or Gundam...)

Yeah it was a bit too soon to try to make a film of that caliber of CGI, do it now and it could look just like an ingram.

If done right, this would make a good movie. But...it wasn't done right. Too off. I would sell the rights to a live action Patlabor movie to America. Give it to Stephen Spielberg or Micheal Bay. Ownage.
