Thanks for taking time to do this video, it was very helpful. As for the stuff that people are complaining about - the fabric/thread contrast was fine, I mean white thread against red is pretty damn contrasty, maybe they didn't get that it's meant to be an INVISIBLE hemline. I can't believe people complain about something that is free!! Just saying...
Thank you for this demonstration! Being a male, I never got into sewing when I was younger. (hey! I had women to chase;-) I've been sewing, sporadically, for about 3 years now just making Very simple stuff and repairing towels and washcloths, and an occasional hem here and there. I bought a pattern for a women's top for my wife and, sure enough, it calls for a slip stitch. I figured I'd find one on here and you came through for me! Thank you SO much! :-)
Thank you so much for this! I have been looking and looking for a video on slip-stitching!! My course-book calls it "slip-tacking" and it was really difficult to find!
sweet thanks =D Yeah it was a little hard to see at first with her hand in the way, but if you keep watching she keeps repeating the same stitch and her hand isn't in the way for it each time.
The comments made thus far are pretty much on the money. It's difficult to see what you're doing because of the quality of the video, plus the fact that your knuckles are disrupting line-of-sight half the time. It also would've been good to use fabric and thread that we could more easily see. Thanks.
You aren't showing, nor can you tell that a slipstitch picks up the last stitch. It looks like you're just doing a running stitch. You need to re-do the video and have more specific instructions, otherwise it just does noone any good to watch it.

Excellent. Thank you. The line that helped me most was about moving lengthwise through the hem. Very helpful.

This demo would have been better if you had used black fabric with white thread (or vice versa) so I could see the stitches better.
