  • We have so many wonderful results from HBOT treatment. The parents will tell you!

This is a science that needs to be provided by professionals i.e. Doctors. This treatment is not right for everyone - the Doctor will evaluate and see if it is good for you.

  • This is real...I have done it with my child...it works for some kids.

  • @mlponteful My child was hit by a car and has a traumatic brain injury. I could have tried all sorts of bizarre "treatments" and claimed that they worked, simply because my child grew and developed and improved without such things. ASD symptoms many times subside with time, so does ADHD and other such disorders. Simply saying that your child improved after treatment is not evidence - it's a study with a sample space of ONE and no control group.

  • this is so absurd. i can't even pretend to calmly analyze this anymore. it's snake oil.

please, parents: spend your money on realistic resources. for some great ideas, type Temple Grandin into the search box. she's HFA: she knows from the inside out.

autism's genetic, folks. we're supposed to be here. deal with it. (and yes--many of us could use help with the challenges. again: please be realistic.)

  • biomedcentral (dot) com has a study on their site

just type in their homepage, then add /1471-2431/9/21

    hyperbaric therapy does show results

I am a realist too, and will even throw in the potential risks for HBOT

Nearsightedness (myopia), which can last for weeks or months

Sinus damage, ruptured middle ear, or lung damage

Oxygen toxicity, which can cause seizures, fluid in the lungs, or respiratory failure

Worsening symptoms or increased risk for lung problems in people with CHF or lung disease

  • So the kid just took a laptop into a hyperbaric chamber which is an oxygen enriched atmosphere.... I guess they aren't worried about killing the kids...

  • no. of course not. they just want to "cure" them. (sarcasm alert.)

  • @bluebanshee3 of course they do. look at the age we live in. 0% acceptance not even in the privacy of your own home.

  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is available in Mississauga, Ontario which is a suburb west of Toronto at Under Pressure Inc, The Hyperbaric Healing Centre. They offer that two children treat the same so that families can save on treatment costs. 905-274-2032
