Not a saint, and not a good man. He was an impostor, put in the Vatican by the communists and freemasons. The real Pope, elected on the 1958 conclave was Pope Gregory XVII, also known as Cardinal Siri. He died a prisoner of the Vatican on 2 may 1989. The world has been lied to, and is being lied to ever since. All the so called Popes from John XXIII on are non-valid impostor Popes.
@rooizilver what is it that is going to make you guys happy and accept Popes in the future, Cardinal Siri has gone to his Eternal Reward what has got to happen for there to be a "Valid Pope" again?
@rcarnes1988 At one point, Rome will be under physical attack, when, i don't know, but soon. and the hidden Hierarchy will flee, and with her the real Pope. Siri has made sure there's a successor, but right now, we don't know this successor. A manifest heretic can not be Pope, so John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I and II, Benedict XVI could not have been, and are not Popes, simply because they teached heresy and took responsability for the false Counter-Church of Vatican II.
A very decent honest and holy man. But a very POOR and WEAK pope. Made terrible decissions but was not able to impose his decissions because of his weakness. But he had a terrible difficult task, to complete the vatican II council and to implement the decissions. He was simply not the right man for the job. Now in Heaven he can see the great works of his succesor Benedictus XVI and his Motu Proprio. To outlaw the old mass is just one of his many mistakes.
So good to see Pope Paul admired and appreciated. Even today he is so misunderstood from all sides, but he was a truly great Pope and a truly great Christian.
He was a sincere man. His abandonment of some of the pomp of the papacy and his insistance on the spiritual nature of the papal office were overdue. His naive attempt to Protestantize the Catholic liturgy in hope of some rapid reunification of Christians was disasterous, however. The more the Church regains its sense of self, the worse his legacy will become, albeit with more understanding, and the inherent joy of relief that we are waking from the nightmare.
I disagree. I think it's due time that his true teachings became more widely known and appropriated. His encyclical 'Ecclesiam Suam' and his apostolic exhortation 'Evangelii Nuntiandi' are spiritual masterpieces. 'Humanae Vitae' was prophetic and courageous. And the difference between what he intended the liturgical reform to be and what actually happened on the ground is vast. The more people study the documents he promulgated, the more he will be appreciated.
