Lastly, Layton's position on Afghanistan and the military in general is insulting to soldiers and their families.

He wants out of Afghanistan, but insists we go to Sudan. The Sudanese have vowed to fight us every step of the way.

When he says our soldiers are peacekeepers, he insults our profession.

I love the NDP, and I'm a member of the Canadian Forces. I disagree with some of their current platform policies, but then again, when do most parties keep their platform promises anyway?

Wow. Reserve or Reg? You know what? Don't answer. This is without a doubt one of those "blue moon moments" because the NDP is so totally anti-military that it's difficult to see how anyone in the military can reconcile being in and being a NDP supporter.

Seriously, how do reconcile that? How can you support a party that hates and belittles you?

I prefer a party that would look after the social welfare and education of others before the military. But like I said, I don't agree with everything they have to offer. Certainly I don't agree with bringing the troops home prematurely...before the mission is even finished, but I feel that domestic issues such as health, education, and social welfare is more important. Anyway, don't try to argue with me, I'd prefer arguing in person.

He protects his MP's for their misdeeds but then demands Harper fire his MP's for theirs.

For instance, one of his MP's caused a media storm accusing one MP of looking at porn in the House of Commons. She wasn't fired and did not publicly apologize.

Mulclair wants to sell "Quebec" water to the US, which is completely against NDP stated policy, but Layton won't discipline him.

He bitches about $50 billion in corporate tax cuts, but then says he's going to keep jobs in Canada.

Only the dumbest people are going to believe that he can force corporations to stay or that medium-sized businesses will provide enough jobs to compensate.

He complains about oil consumption, but those GM jobs he wants to protect produce gas-guzzlers!
