  • @ 35 ' is the crowd a Horse ? :)

  • This song is not LOUD enough!! Anyone have the same problem? I even have extra stereo speakers, & I just can't crank it UP!!! Must look for another post of the same song. I've had the same problem with other songs. OH WELL!!!

  • @TheMustangsally75

    thats just one problem

my problem is that the crowd isnt cheering loud enough

and their problem is they never will be able to cheer loud enough

  • that song was too short

but it was the best 1:58 song i ever heard and will ever hear

until Cash rises from the grave to march with Jesus

  • In 1958, a 20-year-old San Quentin inmate first heard a singer-songwriter perform what would prove to be a very inspirational song. The inmate was Merle Haggard. He wasn’t in jail for the first time or for shooting someone but he was in and doing 15 years for burglary. The performer was Johnny Cash and this was that song! \m/,

  • I grew up listenin to Jonny. HE IS MY LIFE!

    I LOVE COUNTRY

  • Johhny's young days damn he changed so much through the years

  • Crazy good.

  • Thank to whoever put this one up!!! :)

  • I love this more than I love liqueur and I love liqueur I does.

  • I like the slower version of this song as Johnny Cash sings it here. Thanks for the upload.

  • I love that when he hits the low notes everybody cheers. Nowadays its the screeched and squawked discordant overly high pitched shreeks that everyone likes so much. I'll never understand.

  • Elvis was the king, but Johnny Cash was the LEGEND

  • >LUTHER PERKINS<

  • Wish I could've been in L.A when this happened :)

  • great song great singer

  • look at that hair style i wish it was the style now its so awsome

  • @2003fordmustang281 u can bring it back dude .. i slick my hair like cash all the time

  • I prefer the tempo of this versus some of the later recordings of this song.

  • fooooooooooooooodástico!!!

  • Can really recommend watching Johnny Cash's first acting film - Five Minutes to Live. It's up here on youtube in parts! I thought it was kinda good, he's a serial killer :P

  • I Watched the Walk the Line and i Like this song

  • oh i love it they were happy

  • Luther Perkins looks pretty heated

  • my friend Pyromaniarules has this on vinyl!

  • Damn.. I miss Marshall so much.. He was a great bassist - with electric and upright bass. Marshall is dead, Luther is dead, Johnny is dead, W.S. is next..

I'm just sad i never got to see Mr. Grant.

  • Godspeed Marshall

  • i love you johnny

  • I just read that Marshall Grant passed away, I think they are making a big Revival tour in heaven right now. RIP

  • @Planktontube Marshall Grant, musician, born 5 May 1928; died 7 August 2011

  • Im only 14 but all I do is listen to Merle, Waylon, Willie, Cash, Paycheck, Jones, Strait, and any other country singers that should be way before my time and Im proud to say I dont know a song by the stupid pop artists of today! I saw the recent top music list and was proud to say I couldnt tell you a word from any of them!

  • People are still listening to this song from over 50 years ago and I bet 50 years from now people wont even remember beiber

  • always likin it

  • country music has become so incredibly stupid especially in recent years, with the absolute dumbest lyrics about drinking beer or whatever else mundane thing. must be why i despise most country music except for the old school country folks like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton

  • What is the name of the song by johnny cash that joaquin phoenix sings to the inmates at folsom in walk the line?

  • @xXLightSoundXx I think you mean cocaine blues

Is it? Dont have a clue about music.

  • @sard37 I think he was saying "Sing It"..As in don't take another break. Something must have been out of tune a little or some reason luther didn't wanna take another break...Normally they take 2 breaks.

  • @bigmrclean you could be right bud, thanks.

  • solved the problem with guitar at 1.19 johnny cash was ready to change to the next chord but his guitarist was telling him not yet too early cash realised and waited for the next bar to change...it took me about 10 mins to work it out...you have to listen really carefully he starts to play the bass line on his guitar to lead him into the next chord but you can see his guitarist nodding to him not yet .......problem solved simple well if you are a musician if not you wont understand this

  • Great Luther Perkins!!!

  • Before everyone jumps on me just listen to what I have to say. I am not saying he is and I am not saying he isn't but I have been told that the guitar made up the solo on the spot for this song and I wonder if this is when he did it. It is a fact that the guitar made up the solo on the spot I just don't know if this is it or not. Does anyone know? It looks like it could be because Johnny Cash looks around before the solo and talks to him during it. Strange? So perhaps it is.

  • @fishboy1424 Basically Johnny asked the electric guitar(can't remember his name) how it was going, meaning the song. And the electric guitar guy shook his head and said, "Shit."

Johnny turns his head with a grin.

  • @whosthere1 -- It looks to me like the guitarist says, at first, "C chord" and then "C to A." They might have been talking about the key and progression of the next song they would play.

  • This proves that Elvis wasn't the only one in the 50's with crazy hormonal girls screaming after every line he sings...

  • This is 50's gangster rap. Go Johnny!!!

  • Just the song to hear in a pub after a frenzied day, accompanied by a good pint.

  • Yes this is an amazing song cheers operator guy

  • Cash is asking Luther Perkins, "How was the meal at the hotel tonight, any good?" and Perkins says, "Nah, not very good." And Cash nods, saying, "Ah...right."

  • just brilliant x

  • Dammit, I was born in the wrong decade. 1945 would've been nice... see the 1950's and 1960's from my own perspective. But I have to live in a twisted world full of idiots, liars, corrupt people, and shit. This place is called the Internet.
