probably my favorite thing about this band is how into playing music they really seem to be. you have to be to tour as much, for as long as the hip have been at it. they have really cemented themselves in canadian music history, maybe they arent as big worldwide as someone like bryan adams, but noone has toured canada coast to coast, and played so many different venues as the hip. *salute*

I think the song is about the star fighter, which had a very fast upwards acceleration so it could reach high altitudes quickly. Used to protect the arctic.

There is one on display right infront of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, ON!
