@myblackabyss I will try to solder it this week. My first attempt to solder an EC3 connector did not turn out great. I think I put too much solder inside the plug, so there wasn't enough room for the wire to fit.
Also, (with clean hands) make sure to twist the wires before tinning them, this makes them tighter and easier to fit in the connector.
Excess Solder will just dribble out, shouldn't stop it fitting in though.
Usually a mismatch between gauge and connector size will stop the wire fitting in. (Or an uneven/rough tinning job)
