  • My man and my life right now. : (

    Wow......

  • Good vid & good audio...:-) Thanx...!

  • Probably her best ballad:)

  • I wish he had chosen me instead of being out of reach and lonely.

  • That song is the story of my life !

  • Woke up this morning with this song floating around in my head for some reason.

Had to give another listen....and wow, I had forgotten just how wonderful she is.

  • You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink, you can give a man your whole heart and soul, but you cannot make him think, OUCH!

  • In my opinion, her best song!

  • Great performance of this song!

  • Love the song, love Sheena Easton, but this isn't my favorite version of this song. The studio production really sells it. Still nice, though.

  • This is my most favourite pretend girlfriend in the whole world. LOL. I love her to death. I see her atleast once a year in concert. Mind you, she's a little older than this video, but all the memories are still there. ROCK ON baby. Freedom !!!!!

  • She really belted it out. Good song!

  • She did a great job singing this song live! The only thing I miss is the awesome guitar playing near the end of the song, which is on the studio album! Hey if Karen Carpenter got the great guitar solo on "Goodbye to Love", Sheena should have, also! This is my favorite Sheena Easton song, with "Almost over you" a close secong! Love you, Sheena, BobbyK

  • 4 love of Scotland, Sheena wherever u are can u come back and show the people how it's done....

  • Her and Pat Benatar ruled the 80's !!1

  • Most F'ing awesome!! Most!

  • There are no words that justify how well she sings this song.

  • ♥ this song! I especially love the lyrics, "Is he a man or a paper tiger...when you need him will he run or stand beside you..."

  • this is such a great song. The hook is...wow. She had a great run of ballads and midtemp hits in the early 80s. And her voice is gorgeous.

  • My favorite dance song of all time. Sheena is gorgeous and an unequaled talent. The power and range of her voice will never be matched in my opinion. With better management she could have been the best female vocalist ever.

Too bad her relationships have been rocky. Hopefully she is healthy and happy.

  • That's true DeeDubb, it suits her well as does her later long hair too, one example of short hair ill-fitting is UK actress Jan Francis who was gorgeous with long hair.

  • How does she hit those high notes so effortlessly. Awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the few who could hit the notes "live"

  • A Big Thank You ! Sheena for giving all your Heart to your fans . Your one of a kind ! ! !

  • Singing her Heart Out ! what man wouldnt give his heart and his best for her.

  • My favorite song of hers! Truly one of the most gorgeous and sexiest singers ever!

  • This is one of my favorite songs of hers...just a haunting melody. She was one of the first pop belter divas. She was Celine before there was Celine or Whitney or Mariah, etc. I love all her stuff, but I wish they would have been writing specifically for her voice and given her more power ballads like this.

  • @lcowles I absolutely agree with you. She could have had an even better career with more power ballads that suited her voice instead of all the easy pop songs she was given. She had such incredible range that it should have been highlighted a lot more. I really wonder how many female singers in the entire world could sing this song even close to her level. I would say very few. By the way, this is my favorite song by her. It has great lyrics and an awesome chorus. Just an incredible performance.

  • If Sheena was singing with her hits today as she was in the begining of her career , she would wipe the charts , theres just somthing about a singer that sings there Heart out , It never fails , Thank You Stem for posting !

  • Beautiful song, thank you for this video!

  • 2:37-2:42 Exquisite!!

  • @maicocom Agree, but she cant do that today......:(

  • One of my faves from the 80's. others include Belinda Carlisle, Tina turner, Crissie Hynde

  • that was pretty dam good

  • can anybody tell me what's happened to her since then. What is she doin at the moment. I too was in love with her when this song was released. She was an absolute knock out and so was this song. Shivers!!!

  • @baarsachtige google her and you can find her website and some awesome pics. Time has been SOOOO kind to her. She is even more hot now than then.

  • This a Beautiful song that was released in 1988. She did have a beautiful voice but a lack luster personality. I know i was in a restaurant when my gf waited on her. Very loud and bitchy. Also, when you guys decide to upload all these nice beautiful memorable songs. How about you do it right when you post them. Like descbribe date the song was released. Where and when this video was taken from. OK? For those of us who don't know, would like to Know.

  • Thanx 4 posting My fav. song by her, and damn she was beautiful even with short hair, lol. Man, I miss the eighties; music is, and will prob. never be, the same.

  • In many ways like Streisand, you feel she's giving it all without trying, and if she wanted, could blow the speakers! Compare her with so called talents of today and few come close, the emotion and subtlety in her voice is incredible.

  • Does anyone know the chords to this. I've tried playing it over and over. I just can't get it right. Thanks.

  • It's a simple progression that begins: C major played over F bass (written as C/F), B flat major/F to F major.

  • she is incredible, always loved her songs. WHAT A VOICE LIVE THOUGH. beautiful and amazing. i miss her.

  • Nice! Lovely voice!

  • Absolutely gorgeous! I was in love with her '82 - '83, my junior and senior years in high school.

  • @EP68special You , Me and a million other guys . She was super hot. Probably still is.

  • @EP68special We were all in love with Sheena during that time period! She had about ten million "virtual" boyfriends. Or I guess I should say "Wanna Be" boyfriends! (LOL). I graduated in '84 from Daytona Beach, FL. This song is without a doubt Sheena's best song, her "greatest hit" in my opinion although she had others that were more popular on the radio, this song was incredible. Nothing like cruising around Daytona Beach in the summer of '83 with this song playing on the radio or tape.

  • One of her Pop gems of her career. One of the few ladies that can wear a short hairstyle well. Vocals are awesome. I still like Strut and Sugarwalls. LOL

  • =) *****

  • I toataly agree way under rated! She has got some serious pipes, without a doubt. She would of have been good to see in concert. I guess she plays in vegas still. Alot of supremely awsome voices get passed up like that.she should of had some better management. I used to love this song, looks and a beautiful voice, how can you go wrong?

  • Awesome voice.

And note, this is sung absolutely live...no pre-recorded tracks that singers use today.

  • Sheena Easton was my introduction to the Beauty, Purity, Clarity, and Power of a women with a Celtic voice. Sheena Easton, Dolores O'Riordan, Sinead O'Connor, Enya, etc. What is it about these women's voices?! They are the voices of angels singing! No one else in the world sounds like them and, in my opinion, no one else ever will!

  • This is one of her better ones..underrated.

  • Truly a great and underrated vocalist. One of my favorites.

  • does anyone know who else sang this song?

  • I'm always amazed to hear the live clips of Sheena Easton, her voice is so obviously not the manufactured product of a studio. This is a tough one to sing live !

  • I had the chance to see Sheena "live in concert", and perform this one, back in the late 80's. It was a wonderfully intimate concert, and she was so elegant in her performance. Her voice was superb and unforgettable.

To this day, it's one of my favorite concerts I've ever attended (and I've seen a lot of concerts).

  • Great voice, outstanding performance and gorgeous woman, all in one package!,

  • *****

  • I love this song ever since I heard it when it first came out. This one and For Your Eyes Only and We Got Tonight does it for me she's Great!

  • Look at her eyes. Wow!

  • great song she has some voice

  • 2:40 is breath taking..

  • Ann wilson would be proud.

  • Beautiful woman, outstanding voice, fantastic song. This live performance is an example of her great talent.Thank you for posting, and thank you Sheena!

  • ... was always.. and still is ... gorgeous!

  • music had an identity back then. now it's just crap.

  • I disagree Canegroover, maybe you dont

like the song and thats OK, but youre not

doing her justice. She has a great voice.

The times they are-a-changing (who said

that?) Its a great song and a great performance,

but one has to judge an artist in his own time

and not comparing with the time we live in.

So "crap" isnt just the right word.

    Have a nice day!

  • vanu -

you missed 'GROOVER's point: he likes THIS song. He's (she's?) saying that stuff *now* is crap...

Now whether you agree, that's one thing; but at least take 'im to task for the *right* thing...

    peace

  • kazhool,

Youre right, i misinterpreted his comment, but we had contact about it.

    peace and take care.

  • This make-up style is coming back-- it's bad for the skin, but looks wonderful!

  • look at her eyes beautifulllll

  • omfg she sounds great live as well woohoooo!!!
