He is supposed to be left-handed, but the Wii mirrored the entire game to fit most players, who would be right-handed. This is from the GameCube version.

Sometimes you breath into the microphone during you lines, just move the microphone back alittle or just don't get close to it. That should help it to where only your voices can be heard!)
