  • @SableQueanVilaya12 Perhaps it's supposed to be The Sword in the Stone...

  • awesome song, awesome video! Well done!

  • i miss don bluth's animation...it reminds me of my childhood

  • EJEM... Excuse me, but "Sleepy Beauty", "Todd and Toby", "Merlin", "The Rescuers" and "Robin Hood", are films of Walt Disney not Bluth!!! It shows in the character design.

  • @thynaluna Don Bluth was working at Disney for those films, so he was involved. If you look at the rabbit children in Robin Hood, for example, they are very similar to how Mrs. Brisby's children later are. (I've never heard of "Todd and Toby" or "Merlin" before, though. Are they short works? ^^; )

  • I love Bluth's films from the 80's. The 90's, not so much. Whatever, he is still very much apart of my childhood.

  • Oh my goodness! How in the world did you find those clips from Mary?? I've been looking everywhere for that music video illustrated by Don Bluth but haven't been able to find it!

  • @celeryq I've had them for a long time. ^^;

  • Don Bluth Forever

  • what film is that at 2:09 where the guy tfs into the owl?

  • @LiimLsan That's actually a bit of a music video for the song "Mary", by the Scissor Sisters. They got Bluth to do the animation for it after he did the "Don't Walk Away" animation for Xanadu.

  • more reasons to love don bluth i knew of some stuff with disney didnt know what but fox and the hound and sleeping beauty? love his work he did one of my favorit movies growing up 'Land before Time' hold that close to my heart in child hood. And now i see he also did "Pebble and the Pengquin!" thanks for the vid :)

  • Hey what is the name of the cartoon with the girl with the white hair, anybody knows?

  • @patrickborro2000 At :35? That's actually a video game Bluth did the graphics for, Dragon's Lair 2.

  • @ZeldaQueen64 Thanks for the info.

  • @patrickborro2000 Princess Daphne is the name of the girl with the white hair. It's based on a Animated Video Game called Dragon's Lair which later became a cartoon series called Dragon's Lair. This Animated Video Game was one of a kind. For me this game fascinated me because it was actually a Animated Cartoon Game in which you could move your player around except that you needed to think fast. For me Dragon's Lair 2 was a even more of an excited Video Game. Don Bluth is extraordinary!!!!

  • @czam73 Ow, so the white hair girl is from a sequel of dragon's lair? I got confused cause I remember that it was a blonde girl in the first one. Thanks for the info, anyways yup I seond that Don Bluth is the best and hoping he'd return to animating soon.

  • @patrickborro2000 It's the same princess, it's just that in the sequel her hair was white and not blonde. I don't know why the kept it white. I remember playing the sequal of Dragon's Lair. Seriously Don Bluth is an art master with animation, always captivating that magical ligthing color that he has shown in his animation from Sleeping Beauty, Pete's Dragon, The Secret of Nimh, and Titan A.E.

  • Don Bluth had good cartoons & bad ones.

  • i love every songle one of these movies, i grew up with all his stuff

  • It's a bit cheeky, isn't it, giving Bluth credit for Sleeping Beauty? Did he even do any drawing in that movie?

  • @jbrisby From what I understand, he was an animator for Sleeping Beauty. He was still with Disney at the time.

  • @jbrisby He was assistant animator for John Lounsbery.

  • what is the movie at 0:17

  • @axelsonlypuppy101 Sorry, I didn't mean to vote this comment down. I don't know how to fix that.

  • @dramamasks22 haha it cool no worries =}

  • @axelsonlypuppy101 Rock-a-Doodle.

  • @ZeldaQueen64 it seems frightening!

  • @axelsonlypuppy101 Yeah, Goldy (the pheasant) can look a little freaky. She was meant to cash in on Jessica Rabbit's popularity, but apparently Bluth forgot that she was a bird and thus a large bust and shapely figure isn't...erm yeah...

  • @ZeldaQueen64 the trailer for RaD on the ADGTH VHS (which i own WIN) shows that she originally was more crisply drawn in the cleavage area and a little more jessica rabbit ripoff; apparently some parents groups complained...

  • what is the name of the movie at 0:37?

  • @SexyWiccan3 It's from Dragon's Lair 2, I believe.

  • What movie is 2:35? I'd be really greatful if someone could tell me! =))

  • @FictionalLover It's the end of Titan A.E.

  • @ZeldaQueen64 Thank you! =D

  • @FictionalLover No problem. :)

  • Great tribute to a great Animator!

  • and...¿that does not leave bartok the magnificent?

  • @MrWARIOBARTOKPARCOXD Yeah, I'm afraid I couldn't get anything for that. ^^; So the best I could do was have Bartok with his girl bat from Anastasia.

  • Oh! Thanks so much for the quick reply :D

  • @delilahlilah No problem! ^_^

  • Where is the first opening clip from? And also 1:13? I can't place them =/

  • The opening clip is from the movie "Xanadu". Don Bluth did a short animated segment for it (set to the song "Don't Walk Away").

1:13 is a clip from a music video from the song "Mary", by the Scissor Sisters. Don Bluth also animated that.

  • why you have disney stuff in here to?

  • Don Bluth animated those too.

  • His princesses look wierd except for Sleeping Beauty. Walt Disney himself had him under control.

  • They looked different but I think they were attractive enough personally (though Princess Daphne wasn't exactly dressed...medieval).

  • Yeah, at some angles.

Bluth's drawing style was definitely different from Disney's.

  • When his characters stand still their outlines still move.

  • Really? I never noticed that.

  • Did you notice it?

  • When does it happen? Any specific clips?

  • When Mr. Mole said "Good afternoon and a lovely day." He stands still and his outline still moves.

  • You mean in "The Adventure of Icabod and Mr. Toad"? I haven't seen that one yet, I'll have to watch it.

  • I mean in Thumbelina.

  • You're right! That's weird...

  • If Disney made Thumbelina the mole would look more like the one from Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

  • Possibly. I think the difference has to do with the character though. The mole in "Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" was meant to be a sweet, cuddly fellow while Mr. Mole from Thumbelina was supposed to be a bit creepy (there really was a rather disturbing sexual undertone to that movie, wasn't there?)

  • I watch Thumbelina for that one toad with the mustache.

  • I know this is irrelevant, but how the flip does a toad even have a mustache?

  • The long mustache over his long lips.

  • I know, I just meant that as an amphibian, he shouldn't have any hair at all.

    Bad biology joke. ^^;

  • I think he was unique. His mom was more strange.

  • Ah yes, I remember her. XD

As the Nostalgia Chick said, she was a Spaniard frog. With tits.

  • Diden't he do Sword in the Stone?

  • Yes he did. There are clips of it at 1:23 and 1:48

  • @dolphinluv2413 No he did not. He left after Sleeping Beauty and didn't return until 1971
