  • Nice what is the name if the song

  • do you have to seal the hole air box lid to the mount of it compleatly?????

  • What are you using to connect the orange ridgid tubing to the tranny housing? Man your video is awesome and I see everything that is done but I cant tell what that is holding the hose on the tranny, thanks for the help.

  • Hello I'm 13 years old.Is the Grizzly 660's stock CVT vent the same as the 700. I'm pretty good at working on things. Could I complete this task for my age? Plus is it difficult to do this? The 660's airbox lid is different than the 700's. How would I snorkel it? Thanks for the help,Miles. P.S. could you send me a message of the complete parts list for buying them at Lowes?

  • how did you run the air intakes on the left side? i have a 2010 grizzly 700 that i am making a snorkel for but i have them out on the side of the fenders

  • I have a 2010 grizzly 550 I'm going to snorkel the same as you did and going to do a 700 did you have to run any vent lines

  • I've got an 07 grizzly 660. Do you have to snorkel the tranny box or could it just be the air box and still be ok?

  • on my 700's the belt housing got water in it before the motor would..do both...

  • That aint riggin. If it works then it works man. I personally didnt have 289 to buy the kit for my kodiak so i made mine outta like materials. Works great. Good job man very clean!! Post it when your finished.

  • @wingwong97 its been finished for a while now..check out my other vidsm there are some testing the snorkels to their limits......search "charlie6457"

  • Had to mute the horrible music

  • Nice nigger-rigging. You should change the title of this video to "Nigger-Rig your Grizz in 4 easy steps".

  • @jcs12402 fuck u

  • Comment removed

  • how does that vaccuum hosing hold up to heat? or is the heat not relly something to worry about for the snorkels?

  • it holds up pretty good, it realy does not come close to any high heat components as the exhaust is on the left side and the trans snorkels are on the right side, and the intake snorkels are on top of the motor..

  • sweet thanks im working on it now, i will post a video response as soon as im done and test it out

  • i did the same on my 2005 bruin

  • where did buy the channel grip at, do you know what store was at thanks manny

  • its not an easily found product, its an industrial epoxy i got from my previous job, automotive dealer..

  • thanks alot im already working on it

  • no problem..let me know if you notice anything different about the 550's so the rest of us will be in the know..

  • can you possibly give a detailed list of materials... i have 2009 yamaha grizzy 550 will it work thanks manny

  • what was the hose you used

  • that would be RIDGID Pro hose from home depot..i liked it cause the ends tread on instead of just slip on. i put some silicone sealer on the tread and threaded them on for a water tight rugged seal..

  • About How Much Did It Cost?

An Can You Send Me A Detailed List Of Material?

    I'd Appreciate It.Thanx

  • can you possibly give a detailed list of materials......... thanks

  • sent it to ya......via personal message..

  • i need a kit for a 2003 kodiak 400

  • ive never worked on a 400 but have done a kodiak 450. it may be the same..does the stock snorkel stop behind the gas tank, under the front of the seat?

  • ya and the intake for the clutch is under the front rack and the exhaust is under the rear rack

  • yep, just like the 450's were. The rear is the worst to deal with, the front tranny tube is simple and the engine intake kinda sucks. On the intake on mine i just cut a hole in the plastic for the pipe to extend from the stock snorkel setup and routed along side the gas tank, it worked. but the rear tranny tube in just a pain. i ended up just running it up the rear, would be better if you could route it to the front someway..

  • omg what a nice quad i am going go to your house and steal it

  • do you need the address...?

  • u know im jokeing

  • oh well, maybe next time..hahaha...

  • That is sexy man! I too, am about to tackle this as well and I'm glad I came across your vid, love the orange Rigid hosing. Thanks for sharing man.

  • thanks, and goodluck on your ventures...

  • Hey man, I am having trouble finding the 1 7/8" and below, can you tell me where you got yours from? Home Depot seems to have a 2 1/4" only. Also how many feet did you need and what was the total cost? Thanks brother \m/

  • hey TKO550 u should try that with one of your excavaters......

  • great job man!! I will do this mod to my grizz. do still run a stock air filter or did you upgrade it?

  • i made a video of my snorkels that i made and sent you a video response. see what you think

  • since there isnt alot of force pushing the exhaust is there any reason why you cant use a smaller pipe. i dont have much room going up front

  • i used a smaller pipe on mine, i dont see a reason why you couldn't. i used a 1.5" pipe, but i wouldnt go any smaller than a 1.25" pipe...

  • on my bruin it comes out of the trans on the back and comes up and is mounted flat on body of the fender well this is the stock location. it probably isnt high enough??? i already put snorkels on everything else. just wondering about this.

  • i would try to reroute it to the front somehow or you could simply run it up above the rear rack, my wifes kodiak was the same and i ran it above the rear rack..if there is enough room under the side panels i would route it to the front....

  • what will happen if you dont snorkel the CVT Trans exhaust.

  • that is the most prone place for water to enter. it is the lowest point of entry and does not have enough air flow/pressure to push water out like the exhaust does. water just over the tires will cause a "no go" condition as the belt is likely flooded. as i found out this past weekend on my wifes grizz700..if you are going to do it, do it right. you dont have to go as high as i did, but at least over the front rack should be suffecient.

  • Nice job! What did you use to connect hoses to the belt housing? I see its some kind of reducer but where did you get them?

  • it all came from home depot, but can probably be found at other stores as well.. the reducer is just some "do-nut seals" found in the pvc fittings section, i had a hard time finding them..i used the factory rubber adapters to connect to them cause i couldnt find anything that would it around the belt housing ends...good luck..

  • thats pretty cool, i have a 96 wolverine, and im going to use vacuum hose as well but im putting a straight peice of pipe at the end and putting a air filter at the end so i can take out my airbox and build straight from the carb

  • grizzlove84--also the plastics come off pretty easily-just some quick clips and two screws will remove the upper black plastic and both side panels..in about two minuites..

  • Dang Charlie.....ever since i bought my grizz 700 i wanted to install snorkles on it but didnt wanna fuk up the bike i was always trying to find a vid just like urz that would demonstrate clearly how to add snorkles and never did

and now comes your VID dude Charlie thank you soo much for doing this vid and posting it here

u did very good job on ur snorkles....

Just had one question: Before i put on the plastic body on the quad how do i check if there r any leaks??

    Tks Charlie

  • well--i havent got a chance to test mine yet-hope to soon..but theres only one way..make sure to seal everything up well, use silicone in adapters durring final assembly when installing hose into the adapters..just find some deep enough water that you can easily get out of if it dies and hope for the best..know anyone with a small manmade pond or lake in their yard?????if you find it leaks, it should only be minor..inspect air box and tranny drain plug after riding..

  • thats awesome did you buy 4 hoses to get all 8

addapters or ?? is there a part number for just the addapters?

  • i guess you could say i had to buy 4 hoses to get all the adapters..im waiting on RIDGID to respond to email about buying adapters only..

  • im waiting to finish the front rack--fabricating one from scratch--to accomidate high mount winch and snorkel mounts..saving original in case i decide to sell in couple of years--put back to new..p/n RIDGID--VT2570..THE 2.5" ADDAPTERS INCLUDED FIT 2" PVC PERFECTLY-SNUG FIT..ONLY COMES WITH 2 PER BOX THOUGH--I NEEDED 8 ADDAPTERS TOTAL...

  • awesome thank you

  • Cant wait to see the finished product.

Is there a part number on the box of the vacuume hose? Nice Clean looking job.
