Good reminder. I was looking at Laguna's Professional Cabinet saws, and they have the option of a small blade several inches in front of the primary blade and It's only purpose is to cut a shallow kerf that prevents tear-out. My chop-saw can be set for depth-of-cut I haven't even taken advantage of that feature. Now you have inspired me to try a skim cut on it. THANKS
