i love this scene and i love how realistically amanda plays it, always being a little bit behind everyone else. some films would have their dancer just get in there and be able to get every move down pat. i can understand her getting it right in the higher ground part since she observed the guys first and probably picks up choreography fast.

i know they're warming up to mandy's Candy, but it is the remix version or just the original?

@christentze As I see it they leaned that choreography just then and we just don't get to see the practising- or at least they rehearsed it and learned some new part... something like that. So obviously her being a good dancer she picked it up :D

@cocolinabt yeah, i can imagine dancers can observe, practice for a little bit and just perform it pretty much perfectly. it's amazing to me because i find dancing really hard. i think im just too much in my head that im trying to think of the next step, panic, and then mess up. i saw amanda perform coppelia...she was amazing. she looked like a principal dancer. im really surprised she only got to corps status at sf ballet.

@christentze it depends on the dancer usually. Some pick up choreography faster than others. Obviously if you're part of a company you have to learn things quickly, but you still have people who naturally are good at retaining choreo and others who have to work harder at it.

its soo weird i havent seen this move and i do most of these things in my regular warm up(im a dance teacher) although i tend to leave the pelvic thrusts out of the kids warm up. and i would do allot more kicks (but i appersiate its a movie so there not gonna have a full warm up. pritty authentic tho. i mean its the best way top to toe coz it means you dont miss any muscle groups out!
