The gymnast from Korea? Yes, she landed on her butt. The gymnast from the Dom. Rep.? I have seen the video of her attempt. I'm sure these gymnasts have landed these in practice - at least I hope they have.

Why is this vault not being done today? And for those not up on their history, this vault was competed by a Korean gymnast at the 1980 Olympics.

Do you know what I wanna see today? Some female gymnast doing a Produnova. Daiane dos Santos could does, but she is a coward on VT.

I love her power style. I think she was a really beautiful gymnast and a great contrast to Khorkina's slim dancer like gymnastics. Both were really expressive on the floor. :)
