  • @Aldobrandini, I agree about Kadavy's 3L. What made Midori special, though, was that every triple jump she performed had the same speed, bounce, smoothness and precision.

    Also, HBsmile, thanks so much for posting! Not to be picky, but I think this is from NHK in October, 1985 (not 1986). This was one of Midori's disappointing seasons, but I am glad she came back strong in 1986-1987!

  • @nondescriptnyc I think it was in 1986 because in 1985 Midori had broken leg. And here we can see that Midori looked more like lady not like child in 1985.

  • She's the only skater I've ever seen that could do a 2L/3L.

    3L. Gorgeous. Only Caryn Kadavy could work similar magic, with her trademark 3L/2L, but of course the reverse order is even harder.
