bitches, stop fighting over whats best, i own a 360, owned a PS2, PS1, N64, SNES, SEGA and an atari, they were all good, for different reasons, the reason people fight over consoles so much these days is the consoles are so powerful people seem its their duty to gauge them, sure a PS3 is a stronger machine but its still not much stronger than 360 which has doesnt have as good a balance as the ps3 but makes up for it in multiplayer so it evens out, wii has some nostalgic exclusives like mario.

Part of the reason is that the time and money that goes into making a current game is getting to the extreme high.

So releasing a big game on the PS3/360/PC is the best way to make money, and I'm perfectly fine with most games being on all three or PS3/360.

Each system has to have some exclusives of course though.

They loved to crank games out on PS2/GC/Xbox also.

I saw a commercial shown in Japan for the original version that was similar to this. XD Anyway, I can remember wanting an XBox for Christmas when I saw this commercial. My refused to get me one however since she didn't want me "to contribute to the EVIL EMPIRRRRRRRRE." Luckily this game came out on Sony PS2, so I just waited for that to come out instead. >_>

The reason it says "Only on Xbox" was because Substance was a TIMED EXLUSIVE on Xbox. It came out on November 5, 2002, while the PS2 version appeared 4 months later.

the reason why substance was released on xbox is becuz it was a cash camel for konami (and it was, the result ofc being xbox fanboys crying "YES!" and ps2 fanboys crying "WTF!").

technically speaking, mgs2 never worked well on xbox becuz of the clunky controls. generally, exclusives just dont get ported well onto other consoles for this reason.

and dont get me wrong (not a fanboy comment), mgs2 wasnt suited well for xbox. the controls just didnt suit the xbox controller (some moves, like jump shooting are difficult to perform on the xbox).

this is the reason why exclusive games arent suited for porting onto another console (i.e Halo on ps3 or mgs4 on xbox? it just doesnt work)

Well since this game series was a Playstation title smash they had to also have this game on the Playstation 2.
