The BBC have bigged up Global warming to such an extent that energy costs have trebled in just a few years, are they working for the energy companies to give them an excuse to put up prices!!! And just like petrol the price always goes up but never comes down and of course the Government gets it's cut and the people of Britain suffer especially the elderly.

Remember pictures of empty reservoirs, no water, the climate in Britain hotter than Spain etc etc etc!!!

The BBC should be the target. It has turned into a climate change propaganda machine. The Planet is cooling and will continue to cool. The Sun caused past warming and as it enters a Grand Solar Minimum , the Sun will cause the Earth to cool. The BBC preaches teletubby science.

I hope you do realise one day that 'Lord' Monckton is not a scientist, and that if you can't trust scientists, then I recommend you stop using your painkillers, eating your food, drinking your soda, using your computer, or even bother going to work to participate in this illusion of 'economy' the 'scientists' came up with.

@ChildrenOfOrwell I use my brain! anyone with a slight bit of intelligence can deduce easily that the climate models are wrong. The BBC should be ashamed as it attempts to stifle scientific debate. Censorship and propagada has nothing to do with science . I am also sick of the mantra peer reviewed. This process in climate science is corrupt. I hear if you find dead Polar bears you can publish that climate warming did it and then get it peer reviewed by your wife.

@TheManMostMysterious calm down bro. It is a fact that also many scientis disagree with the climate change consensus as many disagree with what happened on 9/11. There have been many climate changes before the industrial revolution, meaning NO human produced pollution. I don't mean to say by this that we don't need to stop the destruction of rain forest , etc.

@gnossticc You're absolutely right. Global Warming deniers are EXACTLY like 9/11 truthers. Both are deliberately spreading a falsehood. And about 3% of climatologists deny global warming, only 3% in the relevant field. The other 97% confirm its validity. Other scientists who disagree come from irrelevant fields and don't have an authority on the subject.

They were also the majority against a minority who did undeerstand it! Just because the majority is for something it does mean they are always right.

Today we all know that nobody is certain what truly caused the great depression, care to do some research. Can you imagine climate science? There has been climate changes in the past without the intervention of man, how can anybody dissect such complex forces at play and ascribe them just to humanity?

@gnossticc Your is weak. You have no idea what you are talking about. Comparing economists to scientists is like comparing bricks to apples. Economists don't have a rigorous, self-correcting peer review process. You don't even have to be an economist to have authority. Science is different. You have to first demonstrate skill in a particular field and your peers have to confirm that. You can't just say whatever you want. Theres big difference between "scientific consensus" and "majority"

We can sit here and argue over the semantics of what the term "science" means, but until you produce a lucid and intelligent argument, you're just a waster of mine, and everyone's, time.
