I saw this tour as well in Clemson, S.C. and yes they did begin with this song. Steve was wearing his fitness wear and Phil had the rotating drum stage. The band was incredible as always. Thanks rickyon from a fellow Kansas fan from the beginning. Favorite Kansas song? The Pinnacle.
rickyon, saw this tour with my then pregnant wife at Freedom Hall, Louisville on the 4th of July, 1979. I'll always remember this concert and this is the song that they opened with on this tour. I'm an old fart thirty years later, but Steve's voice was very strong back then and even though the band was soon to break up, I felt this tour they were at their zenith! Great memories, thanks for posting!
This is such a great version. Steve's in perfect form here...a good example of how Kansas was better in concert than in studio. He's loose and sounds awesome.
I saw them in Huntsville & B'ham Alabama on this tour. the huntsville show started the tour (per seeds of change); the birmingham show was sometime later. They started with this song, it was awesome. thanks for posting.
Hey dude, this one is rare but not impossible! I got it from the 1984 box set. I have it in cassette and this tune was on there. I don't know if it was also on the 1984 CD box set or not. I finally got the USB turntable that also allows me to convert cassettes! This one is pretty clean though and an excellent performance!
I'm sorry I meant to say 1994 not '84 but you figured it out anyway. It's easy for you but not for the average jo-blo out there (me included). If I didn't already have it I wouldn't have known it even existed. You keep forgetting that when it comes to Kansas material you are "The Man"!
You are correct. The box set contained the "Can I Tell You" demo, the, at the time, new song "Wheels" and 3 live tunes - "OTOS", "Incomudro - HTTA"(1975) and "Death OF Mother Nature Suite" (1973) which I am going to upload next.
As far as I'm aware, that's more or less the only live version of DOMNS. I've never seen another one... It's funny, but for some reason very few pages describing the boxed set mention that they are live... Wikipedia for instance

It would seem that there are two other live tracks on there if I'm not mistaken...
