@jejelyn08 According to Guinness Book of World Records Cassius is the largest croc in captivity and is the only croc with the stamp of approval. Until lolong has been fully measured and gets the nod to replace Cassius, lolong is not considered. to be the biggest or largest croc. Their are rules and guidelines and they are enforced. The largest croc in the wild is GUSTAVE!! their is a documentary about him people have been trying to capture him alive with no luck. Watch the documentary!!
its already approved by the guinness officials that lolong is the largest croc in captivity.. but i know theres a very big croc out there (in the wild)
I think about that croc, a lot. Was he sick? Did a bigger member of the species drive him out of his home? That croc got to be 20 feet by avoiding us so what happened that put him in contact with us to get captured?
@lesterclaypool1 Unfortunately he is sick when he is captured, but he is good now eating well but in captivity. He is suspected to be the one who beheaded a little schoolgirl going to school in a banca. Because of it a hunt is organized that led to his capture. No evidence the he is the one who did the disappearances though. And it is too risky to get him back to his habitat.
@lesterclaypool1 No he was in perfect condition but when he got caught he was stressed because of his struggle to free himself from the steel cable used to trap him. And he was bound with ropes and lifted with a backhoe or crane whatever it is. It didn't eat for about two weeks but he is very fine now but caged.
There was a huge backlash when one of these educational programs did, some of the footage from that presentation is on this site, so I doubt that anyone would.
@DarkHeartedMusician Ya was thinking after watching the documentary, will anyone else try to capture him. He's been hiding or might be dead. The documentary was made in 2004 so maybe he is still alive, but avoiding capture, he was riddled with bullet holes and he still survive, so who knows he just might be out there.
The Greek Goddess Artemis the goddess of the hunt once said to humans to only hunt for survival not for the fun or thrill if it, I guess she was right look wat happened to nature many species are going extinct because humans kill for enjoyment and not got survival
recent news just telecast a 21 feet croc caught here in the philippines...so there is no need to worry,20-feet croc still exist...the question is...how many of them left????
il existe encore quelques spécimens de plus de 7 mètres, à Madagascar, dans le sud et sur la cote est dans le lac rasoamasoa, si quelqu'un est intéressé, il peut contacter Henri duclos à Nossy bé, il vous en dira plus
He got to be over 20 feet by avoiding man. What happened in his habitat that drove him to the very thing that he had avoided to stay alive all these years, I wonder?
every animals has a job to nature, like without snake, mouse will invade and populate the world same as other species. like us we need to protect the nature.
if any croc attacks a person kill it, deader than dead. extinct. If dinosours were alive today. YES we should kill them, all. Extinct!!! They don't belong in this era. You big dummy!!!
ron isn't in any danger. He has under water cameras. There are no crocs when his ugly feel are in the water. The answer is I hope there are NO super size crocks ready to eat people.
@chinkeyedn8ive nope steve died from a beautiful stroll over a stingray. Not so beautiful for the stingray. Stingray killed him. Steve got wayyy to confident and cocky. Dead. He wasn't as wise as people think. He bacame stupid very quick. DEAD on arrival from stupidity.

So he was sick. I knew that he didn't just come upon mankind, he was too sick to avoid the hunters.
Thanks for your response, it makes sense, now.
