  • one heck of a hobie.really cool stuff.

  • I keep thinking the engine is (Col-own-ey) instead of Conley....

  • You are insane!! I love what you are doing!respect

  • Hey,

    brilliant work!

Coud you please tell me where I can get these two piston calipers?

(Do you know an onlineshop or something like that?)

    Thanks!

  • To - @kleinarni

    Go to FGSupply. com.

  • a soft fiber disc would stop better. carbon fiber is better for smooth 'antilock' breaking. the softer fiber disc 'bite' better.

  • my god your a genious

  • Whoa, that's alot. Have you ever built custom r/c cars, trucks or quads before ? Because you do good work people would definitely by your stuff. I know because I build people custom r/c's like indestructible T-MAXX's & stuff & I'm always busy from people wanting me to build them something. I have a small waiting list now because I've gotten so busy

  • To - @skinpounder666

    Over the years, yes.

    Thanks.

You should put some videos on Youtube of your projects!!

  • Sick brakes RCwizard. You are definitely worthy of that title. Also how much would it cost to have you make one of those quads ?

  • To - @skinpounder666

    It would be over 2k.

  • Hi rc wizzard. I'd like to know when you think you should be able to show us a nice running video ? I can't wait to see that ;-)

Very very nice job, but i have to say that you are a lucky man with very good part design and maybe a cool boos that let you use the professionnal CNC machine. Maybe you are the boss ;-)

  • To - @lothar2048

Have you seen parts 20 thru 22?

    This is a hobby, I use a non-CNC Smithy 3-in-1 metal lathe.

Yes, I'm the boss,,,,, of my basement.

  • @rcWizzard let all the haters be hatin that thing is a beast id like to have it nice hobby.

  • some people have way too much time and money on their hands.....

  • To - @emoore1978

    Dude, it's call a Hobby.

If I had to much time, I'd be Done by now.

  • Not to mention, how do you plan to separate the drivetrain from the engine under braking? If you have brakes on the rear alone, the motor will still be trying to turn the rear tires while the brakes are applied.

  • To - @x0druid0x

The transmission has a centrifugal clutch. Throttle and brake are on the same channel. Gas will be off when brakes are applied.

  • Why did you have the brakes on the rear? Since most braking is done up front, brakes in the rear alone are pretty ineffective, or do you plan to have brakes up front in the future? If so, how are you going to do brake balance?

  • To - @x0druid0x

Front axle is temporary, until I decide to go 4WD. I might use the single piston brake set on the front, if needed. I'll figure out brake balance when I get to that point.

  • @rcWizzard : Personnaly, i would have made a brake directly on the transmission part with a balance braking from each side. This would have left free wheels and you would not have to build a differiential breaking box to void braking turning angled wheel. Tell me why you did it this way plz.

  • To - @lothar2048

    2 reasons.

    1) I did not want the added stress on the custom machined bevel gears on the HPI Diff.

    2) If one tire loses traction, the other will free-wheel while the one without traction spins backwards, which means No brakes at all.

  • I love your dedication and the amount of detail put into this. Exactly the kind of stuff would want to be doing if I had the time/money.

  • If you've ever thought about seeking professional help for your addiction to custom R/C, PLEASE DON'T!! You are so my R/C hero!

  • @ 2:16 he rips some mean ass.. lol

  • you need to make a full scale off somthing

  • what state do you live in just wondering

  • To - @chickmagnet643

    VA

  • @rcWizzard You might want to check out the brake line that comes stock on the KTM dirtbikes. Its braided aluminum and should be long enough

  • To - @backintack

Don't you mean braided Stainless Steel. They're to big for this project.

    Thanks man.

  • What's funny is the jar of Vaseline sitting in front of the picture of the girl ;)

  • To - @MrRobBurton

Calm down!! That's for the seal on the vacuum box.

  • @rcWizzard lol.....Just messin with ya man :) awesome work your doing on this project

  • @MrRobBurton lmao....i wouldn't need the picture of the girl if i built that thing.....i'd go out and stare at my creation, then start that v-8 and rev it up and i'd be spent lol

  • To - @tjhottie1

Hope to by the end of may.

  • To - @tjhottie1

Hope to by the end of may.

  • NICE! crazy work!!

  • lol 1:38 hot chick pics and a jar of petroleum jelly . too funny i know you did that on purpose hahahahaha. love your work man !!

  • To - @TheGreenMachine95

    LOL.

That's to help form a seal on the vacuum box. Really, it is!!

  • who did the roll cage for you

  • To - @jab287

    I did the chassis.

  • This thing is going to be so one-off (1 of a kind)

  • thats awesome dude! how much money have you spent on it? really good car! nice job

  • To - @MrAlfredorc

5 to 6k. Including the engine.

    Dude, it's a Truck, not a car!!

  • @rcWizzard is this like just a hobby or what?

  • To - @godsmackfan1

    Yes, it's a hobby.

  • @rcWizzard 5-6 grand isnt really that much considering you can buy a whole t-bucket kit rtr for 13,000 and your having fun building it

  • hey im wondering how long it will take till you are 100% finished ??

  • To - @Schumacher13654

Hope to have it running by the end of May.

  • @rcWizzard

Oh Great make lots of video's when its done !

  • Do you could you post a video of the 250r quad running?

Great work by the way ..My buddy is a welder/fabricator I know how much time/work is involved with this stuff.. looks NICE

  • To - @MeWatchYourTube

Check out the end of video # 17.

    Thanks man!

  • Do you could you post a video of the 250r quad running?

  • To - @MeWatchYourTube

Check out the end of part 17.

  • @rcWizzard now make travel tyres to put on and make a trailer for this and buy a powerful pulling truck/car/pickup to pull the trailer , it'd make it even better

  • To - @baptistedeschrevel

    Easy for You to say!!

  • @rcWizzard lol ... i know but yeah , when you finished this , why not hey?

  • That 1/4 scale quad us awesome with a nitro engine too cool

  • why all this for somthing you cant even ride in? just put on your big boy pants and quit playing with toys. some friends might help. and no the people you bother at work aren't you friends

  • To - @tviliocco

So what have you built lately?

Sounds like you don't like your job.

  • @rcWizzard I agree What a punk, no respect for Hobbies or craftsmanship....he coundnt build a toohpick...

  • THE 250R RC WHEELER IS AWESOME LOOKS SO GOOD, GREAT IDEA

  • excelent..

  • Where did you find that little floor jack? I have been trying to find one and no one seems to have them

  • To - @caprini83

A Flea Market in Carlisle PA.

  • Ive been watching you make this from day one and all I can say is im soooo excited to finally see you run it!

  • removed tired of waitin

  • To - @laryctdummy

It seams you give up rather easily,,,, I Don't !!!

  • When do you plan on posting another video. This thing amazes me so much, can't wait to see the finished product. Great work

  • To - @Mr98SupraMan

It will be a while. I've been finishing my basement floor, laying VCT tile then Mop & Glow. Have wanted to do this for 8 years.

    Stay Tuned ......

  • @rcWizzard I will for sure, Thanks for the reply

  • @rcWizzard Hey Wizz i noticed some of your videos,go back to "08" does this mean u have been at this for 2yrs???. if so don't give up,engineering will prevail.

  • To - @mIyleftnutts

I believe started the end of 2006.

  • dam your good im wathing your vids from al th begin and no buddy can ever beat you with this

  • do u actually drive it or what lol

  • To - @calaisturbo6

    That's the plan!

  • So are you making this into like a show model simply to showcase your skills as a builder or are you gonna use it as a monster truck should be?

  • @no1doesitlikeme

    hum ,,, Yes.

  • also when you eventually go to 4wd will you be adding another set of disc brakes to the front axle?

  • @Wingnutooa

Depends on how well these brakes work on just the rear.

  • just out of curiosity why did you decide to put the brakes on the hubs as opposed to the driveshaft?

there is a lot more stopping power by stopping the driveline from turning (the gear reduction aids in the braking strength) than to try and stop it at the wheels

Edit: i just remembered you don't have a locked rear end. makes driveline braking a little more difficult :P

  • @Wingnutooa

Check out video "Part 16 Again". Skip to 4:30.

  • @rcWizzard

part 16 is only 4:20 in length

  • @Wingnutooa

    Correct.

But "16 Again" is 7:34 minutes.

  • if i asked u to make me this exact vehicle how much would u charge?

  • @TheSilverwolf19

    20k, plus your engine.

  • u need to make a vid of that 4wheeler also

  • @fsu3454

    Check out video:

1/4 Scale Suzuki Quadracer and Honda Fourtrax 250R Scratch built

  • wont give you double the breaking if anything it will make it less efficient, you need two full sets if you want double the breaking maybe put some at the other end.

  • @stoopefy

Yes it did! Check out part 19.

  • wooow.. totally loving this project!

  • great job man! just out of curiosity how much has this project cost you?

  • @chargedUAV

So far around 5k, including the engine.

  • this rear end can not seem to find it, HPI 5B Diff

can you tell me wear to find to buy the hole rear end please thanks

  • @richardarichter123

If you're referring to the aluminum axle housing, you won't find it. I custom machined it to accept the HPI 5B Diff.

  • @rcWizzard ok thanks found some rear ends

    thanks

  • my bad not 4wd.

  • is it 4wd now??

  • Great Work keep it up.

Made a Billet RC gas tank for a guy one time take a look here

It wont post the link so have to type it

    hobbiezones . com/page24.php

That is a nice set of brakes ya got.

    Keep the videos rolling in.

  • where did u get the driveshaft

  • @jasonhurdman

Go to sdp-si. com Look for Universal -Telescoping - Metal Spline.

  • where is video 19.. damn you have the parts whats the deal

  • @duramax529

Right next to this one. I posted it 5 days ago. Whats the deal?

  • how do u come with what scale your build is am asking because am going be building an r/c with a 43 cc chain saw engine my frame is going be 36in long and 18'' in wide the wheel are going stuck past the frame bout 9'' so really it going be 27 '' in wide and 18 '' 36 '' long , am going use a gokart live axle in the rear

  • @jermainezey

I started off wanting to build a 1/4 scale model. So my measurements are 1/4 that of the real thing. A 36 inch chassis would be a 1/5.3 scale. 1/3 of the way to 1/6 scale.

  • @jermainezey the engine cc was a typo its not 43 cc its 35 cc

  • ware did you get the little atv plzzz reply

  • @austinhunt11

I Built it, using my 1/1 scale 250R as a template.

Took about 500 hours to build.

  • how much will you have into this build, are you a mech engineer or something, this is amazing

  • @MarcelE85EG

    So far around 5k.

    I'm a computer software tech/trainer.

    Thanks.

  • when r u finishing the truck????

  • @tommygiusa6974

    By next Memorial Day Weekend.

  • i like your little jack

  • @AaronRockerWTF

    Thanks.

I Found It At Carlisle PA Flea Market.

  • hate to burst your bubble, but the brakes are not on the axles of Monster Trucks. there attached to the rear End when the yolk connects from the Drive Shaft to the rear End, and the same way on the front.

  • @THETICK36

Check out part "16 Again" skip to 4:30 mins.

  • I cant wait til im in my 40's/ 50's so I can hang around my garage all day, the 20's is gonna give me a heart attack.

  • this is psycko you are damn good at this... do you have some kinda hompage ore blogg for this build???

  • @poppetheone

    Other than Youtube, no.

  • When part 19 will be done? I cant wait.

  • @Valtra103

Filming is done. Uploading as you read this.

  • when this is done take it to monster jam events

  • well in other words your saying they are gurilla welds ugly but strong lol. did you mig weld that?

  • @badman6073

    Yes, MIG welded.

  • cant wait to see the next one!!! like i said man absolutely amazing work. keep it up, i think you have a few people that want to see her running lol

  • i got 2 on my dirtbike. wtf?

  • cant wait. i thought you said just a couple more weeks. and what all do you need to do still

  • @biggiesmalls27pwns

    OK, make that this weekend.

To much to list in this little window.

  • cant wait to see part 19!!!

  • @rcWizzard update soon? plz

  • just wondering if you could give me the link (if there is one) to the site for those dual piston brakes, im building a similar truck . great job by the way,

  • @tyty1890

    OK.

    fgsupply.com/Hydraulic_brakes-Mecatech_TC5_front_brake_set. html

    Thanks.

  • your engine is going to lug alot and wont pull like you think but very nice work...big fan not so sure about the welding on the frame though lol.

  • @badman6073

Yes, I am concern about that. But before I re-invent a gear box I want to see how it runs like it is.

What do you mean "not so sure about the welding on the frame" . Yes they're ugly, but strong.

  • When can we see it run?

  • @jlwz28

    Check out part 1.

  • and i thought i had patience building a large scale model cape island boat completely from scratch!! watched all of your vids......and wow......you have patience!!!

keep up the amazing work......cant wait to see the test run!

  • is this like a big rc truck/car??

  • @treverleefrechette

Yes, check out my other videos.

  • you did the brakes on the truck all wrong. on any monster truck the brakes bolt on the driveshaft or a seperate shaft coming out of the ring and pinionnot on the hubs

  • @marcusfreed

Check out video part "16 Again" skip to the 4:30 min point.

  • @rcWizzard hey is part 19 almost here???

  • dont u get paid if u get alot of views

  • @mat6179

    Watching the video, no.

If viewers click on an add, yes.

  • @rcWizzard understood :D

  • what kind of fuel does it run

  • @mat6179

    4-Stroke 20% Nitro.

  • i could make a bad baja with that motor

  • @mat6179

Go for it. Keep searching on e-Bay,,,, OR, check out the New version at ConleyPrecision. com

  • thats not a bad price i think

  • how mutch did the motor cost

  • @mat6179

    $1600 from e-Bay.

  • wow...what patience! do any of your models ever go to production, or are they "one off" designs?

  • @nwcove

    Thanks man.

Yes, these are "one off" projects.

  • Wizz, where is the next part!?!?!?!??? Its been months!

  • Will the brakes wear out like in regular trucks that would require replacing?

  • @theturbotechno

Yes, the fiber disc's will ware.

  • woow,it looks amazing so far.been working on it for a long time huh, hope you get it done soon.do you have everything else or are you figuring it out as you go?

  • HEY!!! loving the truck!! when is part 19 commin!! bin waiting forever :P

  • @triniboy2007

Hope to film it this weekend and post Mon or Tues.

  • @rcWizzard awesome cant wait!

  • Your makin part 19 this weekend? SWEET!!! Can't wait to see this BEAST run!!! I've been waiting since this past spring when I came across one of the videos in the series. Good job man keep it up!!! I'm trying my hardest to be patient. A couple questions though, how many hours and Benjamins have you spent on this?

  • @Kunzieman

    Thanks K-man.

1000 to 1500 hrs so far and around 5k including the engine.

  • I wanna hear that motor! You should start it up for us next time!

  • @bcampo77429

    Check out Part 1.

  • Personally I think your gonna have problems with it. BTW I am getting tired of not seeing more updates so I am about to give up on you. Sorry

  • @NOLIMIT69NOLIMIT2000

    Patience grasshopper.

Plan to do part 19 this weekend.

  • @rcWizzard Sorry I was tired. My comment ain't even complete. I'll be here. The thing I said you gonna have problems with is the brakes. Now that I have gotten some sleep and watched it again and can think straight. Won't the brakes drag or bind up at all with the 2 disks? Wouldn't an axle break have been better? Anyway this thing is fucking cool. Nice craftsmanship Feel free to ignore me when I am tired. I try not to get on here when I been up for more than a day cause I get stupid. Thanks.

  • @NOLIMIT69NOLIMIT2000

Check out part "16 Again" and skip to 4:30 for comments on the drive shaft brake.

    Thanks man!

  • @NOLIMIT69NOLIMIT2000 SHEEESH!!!! im amazed at you attitude, we are ALL (lots and lots of us) waiting to see this truck..... give up, go away. or at the very least try to keep your attitude to yourself....

get on it rcWizzard... im so jealous of you, i cant find the words :D

  • some one payin you to do this

  • @moonlighthaze222

    No. It's my Hobby.

    I enjoy it!

  • @rcWizzard sweet man ur an inspiration
