  • Thats definetly awsome !

  • @stevejr61 - Thanks :)

  • Hi CrazyHeliDude,

very nice video and very good channel too!

    I have just two questions:

It is a Gaui quadcopter? and do you use an OSD?

  • @isotopatex - Thank you. It is a Gaui, and I have never as of yet put OSD on this craft.

  • i work at a hobby store and one of my co-workers just got this and we put it together and we plan on putting a camera on it just like this. its an amazing flyer and your video is awesome!

  • @geofahm - Thank you :) It's really been a fun project.

  • I think those are pretty cool..but it takes only 1 motor to act funky and you are heading for the ground...

  • @3255959 - It's happened... 1 motor, or 1 ESC, or 1 prop.... It's kind of like the potential problems of a heli times 8. Still, it's a lot of fun to mess with these things.

  • wish you lived closer, would be great to chat and hang out with fellow quad'ians :)

  • @pilotemtnils - I'd be all for it :)

  • Thanks for the great video you share with. It's awesome!

which antenna + camera configuration did you use for real time video transmission?

  • @kyuhyong - It's a 900 MHz system I got from ReadyMadeRC. I highly recommend his stuff. Very personalized and need-specific service.

  • @CrazyHeliDude readymaderc is awesome .. he got me 5 miles away and 3500 ft up

  • Thanks, Rob! That was very entertaining.

  • @KyDugong - And thank you!

  • Hey Rob. What is the visual like in the actual glasses? Is it stereo vision on do you get one side?

  • @birdmanbl - I only have one camera so it's only "mono" vision. You can fly from the goggles or use a TV/monitor. The goggles do have a "simulated" 3D effect but I rarely use it and of course it isn't true 3D. NGHobbies however does sell a true stereoscopic camera (two cameras in one) for around $329. If you use a cam like that with the goggles it will be true stereo vision/3D.

  • what is the thing on the tripod at :24?

  • @adleraviation - It's the antenna, video receiver and battery.

  • This is great.

  • @catfishmudflap - Thanks

  • Sweet video! What camera were you using to film the flight from the ground with?

  • @georgewilcken - It's a Sony HD cam.

  • niiiccceee

  • @MrFabian0077 - Thanks

  • LOL... I loved the part where you "spy" on the guys coming back home and even have one of them mesmerized for a moment! Classic ending with the Scottie checking the quad out! Great job integrating the 2 POV videos. Btw... did you get my pm?

  • @stot2614 - Lol, yeah he looked at it like it was some kind of UFO or somethin.

  • @CrazyHeliDude All I can do is :D! It is a UFO until you can see who's operating it, lol!

  • @stot2614 - True. He was actually looking over at my gf who was filming it. I was in the apartment flying it. They prolly thought she was the one controlling it somehow.

  • that was extreme

  • Ya same question

  • @Jeal918 - See my reply to grahamlwilson.

  • Thanks, Great video. Is this quadracopter a kit or have you scratch built this aircraft?

  • @grahamlwilson This is a Gaui 330XS, but heavily modded.

  • @grahamlwilson - You can buy it as a kit which is probably easiest. I bought this from a guy on the forums. Took it apart and reinforced some parts while putting it back together. The skid set is also custom but I'll probably change this out in favor a CF strut set for less weight, although I'll have to rework the aerodynamics a bit. It's still waiting for its OSD too.
