  • lol i got two GTS 250's for 25$, from my friend. WIN

  • this card is nice got it with the p5q se plus mobo running all games with no problems

  • I lost my god damn HDMI adapter... :(

  • I got this graphic card, and i am playing all the games on the highest quality, no lag!

  • @Jackeeify

try skyrim, you get some lag at random moments

  • Worth the price cap of $100, trust me.

  • im currently running MSI Geforce GTS 250 512MB GDDR3 256-Bit, sooner ASUS Geforce GTS 250 1GB GDDR3 256-Bit in SLI with my older GTS 250 from MSI :)

  • that thing lags like a bitch for me

  • @iamgnehuy Considering most if not all people don't lag with this specific card, your motherboard and card may not be synced properly, if not at all.

  • i dont know how but i got 3gb card when i pluged it in is there somthing wrong

  • so, i'm building a computer to run rift at decent to high graphics and its either this card or the gtx 450. also, i know that if i get the gtx 450, i'll have to get a 600w power supply. would i need to upgrade from 400w to 600w if i get this card instead?

  • Can you help me with my graphics card problem?

    youtube.com/watch?v=vohFMSuX4m4

  • i have the MSI version :)

  • is it wise to buy this card nowadays? does the 450 and this card has a lot of difference? im pkanning to buy a gts, dont know if a 450 or 250, im considering the fact that the 250 is less expensive, but if i can add 15$ more, is it worth it to go for the 450? or just 250 if these cards dont have much different.

  • @bryllecosare23

I think the 450 is a touch faster overall, but I think for most games you can't tell the difference, the 250 can be faster sometimes. The 450 has some newer technology but I'm not too sure how much you would care about it. Both are fine. I'd prefer the 5770 probably but whatever works.

  • @mrbrown510 well if you can point me to one that works i'd love it. seemingly any dvi to component adapters i see are all reported as not working or at least won't work for what my current needs are.

  • i wish the newer cards still had the s-video/component port on the back so i could capture direct feed of games without having to use capture software that screws the framerate up.

  • Hi im gonna buy this card in 3 days from now (monday) so answer fast please, can my "Ace Battle 4 ATX 500W" run this card? I dont know how much ampere i have. thanks in advance man

  • @Adredinna Yes, it'll work fine.

  • I had a GTS250 with a quad core cpu. I could play all current games at or near maximum settings, except for Metro 2033 which taxes even higher end current GPUS. The 5770 and the GTS250 aren't very different in terms of pure GFX horsepower(FPS output). The older HD4870's are still faster than both of these cards. If you can, spring for the GTX460, or HD6870/5850/5870/6850 or better.

  • @arbormanA1

5750 and GTS 250 are the two that roughly tie, I'd say the 5770 is another 15% faster and can beat the GTX 250. Right?

  • whats the different betweem inno 3d ge force GT240 and XFX GE Force 240??.....or both are same??

  • I have this card! :D

  • @PeachCombatArms Is it good ?

  • @houari2009 It's not that bad. I can play Crysis Warhead on it. I posted a vid on my channel.

  • @PeachCombatArms >:] I play CA too. Sorta...

  • Hey is this card bigger than the 9500GT? I currently have a 9500 Geforce Galaxy with one gig of video memory.

I want to update to a one gig version of of this card, but I'm afraid it won't fit in my tower. Can anyone help me out? If my tower can fit the 9500 GT, can it fit this card?

  • @wilb6657 yea its kinda big, but what case do you have, ?

  • @GatewayDXSeries Hey man thanks for the reply. I don't know what kinda case I have, but i bought the card and it fit in my case!

    Again, thanks for the reply.

  • @wilb6657 Cool, i have the card also. great buy, enjoy. I suggest you use the Quadro Drivers 265.90

  • Comment removed

  • @avash011 it will not its ment for desktops

  • @avash011

    Impossible.

  • @avash011 wow did you really just ask that? THIS CARD IS 2 TIMES THICKER THAN YOUR CRAPPY LAPTOP DUMASS

  • Made in China

  • mAN THIS CHANNELS SUCKS now. logan gone, sam is gone, now they won't allow comments, just die please

  • good reviews,

    but talk slower dude =D

  • I fail so bad i tried shoving this into a slimline hp. I realized the computer was too small till after i bought it..Oh well i can always get a new motherboard and put it in a bare bone. :) but still, pain in my rump.

  • what is diffrence 1gb 512mb?

    i found 512mb

  • @mugiization

1GB will help for certain games and certain settings.

  • they mounted they cooler rong :P

  • now all you need is a better processor.

  • this or the 5770? :O

  • @Beautifulgameplay lol hd 5770 ofcourse. directx11 and almost the same performance.

  • @using192 ok ty :)

  • @Beautifulgameplay

5770 is quite a bit more powerful and has some newer technology.

GTS 250 does have the Nvidia specific features though.

  • Hi,

I am German & i have one question. I hope you understand me.

    Which videocard is better?

The 9800 GT or the GTS 250?

I think the GTS 250 is better or not?

But, is it worth to spend 30 $ more for the GTS 250 as for the 9800 GT?

If yes, which producer of the GTS 250 ist the best producer?

I hope you answer me fast.

    Thanks,

    Thomas

  • @xBrainwashx3 Hi , hab auch die Pny 250GTS , 1024 guck dir meine gameplayvideos an , alles läuft ..... mehr als midrange ...

Du triffst damit ne gute wahl !

  • its a Perfect video card if u own a 20inch screen...

Still it max MAFIA II and Pretty Much all the games...

  • @devilmaycry316619

great i have this card and a new 20 inches lcd :D

  • I might buy the EVGA version from here

  • this is better than te 9800gt?

  • just bought one today its frucking fantastic for flight simulator

  • @stfergus608 could you tell me your pc specs? im interested in getting one for fsx myself :D

  • @JERB69s well ive got a 500watt cooler and one of those cards i dont know much about stuff like that

  • how does this compare to the 5670? the 5670 that i was lookin at is the same price as the gts 250 that i'm looking at just now. so if its better than the 5670 then what would it compare to? btw i think im leaning towards a 5670 because of opencl(i need it for dolphin emulator) but i also want better performance in pc games, especially in crysis. Please help me out here! i know i might be able to spend $100 maybe a little more, but if not im falling back on the 5670.

  • @Twixgtx

GTS 250 beats the 5670 and competes with the 5750.

Of course these newer ATI cards have some better features and such, but that's just for gaming power.

  • @Usul573 hmm. i found out that the gts 250 has opencl support cuz it also supports cuda. so i really think i'm gonna get it.

  • @Twixgtx

Yeah modern cards have lots of cool features.

GTS 250 has DX10, Opengl, Opencl, Cuda, Physx, purevideo HD, SLI, HDMI sound.

The newer ATI cards have a few cool features, DX11, 40nm, more HD sound, still GTS 250 can be a great deal for what you get.

  • @Usul573 yeah, i'm not sure that i'm gonna get this card anymore. if i can get a job soon and still go to driver's ed, i think i'm gonna wait to get a better card and actually build a pc. wish me luck on finding my 1st job.

  • @Twixgtx

Yeah good luck, I've tried to get a job before and it's hard.

  • @Usul573 i've applied to a couple of places, but i know how to get a job easy. there are literally a thousand places i can get a job right now and the easiest no brainer, last resort, gotta get a job now is Sea World. I can walk there. But i wanna explore my options first. cuz Sea World will hire anyone, anytime, at almost any age and immediately. McDonald's will too especially cuz of Sea World being in this area. but i'm gonna look for something a little closer to my preference.

  • the fan looks like its been switched side, it should be blowing out the hot air......bad design

  • HD5770 is so much better

  • Best card ever, espiclly that it only uses only fucking 6 pin connector. Awesome

  • can anyone tell me if i can run this on 300w psu, if i don't have to upgrade it, i won't

  • @LazyMax05 HELL NO

  • Boo GTS 250 8800 GTX/Ultra More memory bus width. MOAR VRAM.

Just to let everyone the GTS 250 performans the same as the following cards

    9800 GTX+

    9800 GTX

8800 Ultra - More bus and vram for AA and such

8000 GTX - More bus and vram for AA and such

if you can still find a 8800 gtx/ultra buy it, there still better then any gts 250/9800 GTX and there usually around the same price. Also if you play above 1680x1050 a 8800 GTX/Ultra will crush a 9800 GTX/GTS 250 anyday.

  • @getnhigh247 Nah 8800 ultra doesent do as good as the 9800GTX.

  • @gatler05 On 1920x1080 and above the 8800 Ultra/GTX will crush a 9800 GTX/GTS 250. It has 256mb more of memory which will allow you to add on more AA and AF and not to mention its 384bit width bus compared to the 9800 GTX/GTS 250 256bit width bus, it even beats the 1gb models because its still only the G92 core.

  • @getnhigh247 Mmm nah maybe you should upgrade yourself from that 8800 ultra to a 9800GTX+ or GTS 250, then see the difference. Cause your not worth my time fighting with. bye

  • @gatler05 Lol first of all i wasn't fighting so ok fag boy. Second i fucking own a 8800 ultra sli and a 9800 GTX sli rig, it clearly says it on my profile. I bench marked them each separate and on sli on the same system on vantage, crysis, you name it the ultra is the clear winner in all test ive done 1920x1080 and can still keep up in some test with more AA even on the ultra. Fucking idiot kid.

  • @getnhigh247 Sure you do if you do, dude lol no you just own your shitty old 8800 ultras. Fool you dont know know shit, just stfu already lol.

  • @gatler05 Rofl thought it wasn't worth fighting dude, stop whining kid seriously. Lol shitty ultras the ultras were the best card through late 2006 - early 2008 at release date they cost as high as $970.00 USD, you really are just a spamming fool. I'll be getting Sli GTX 480's soon and ill make sure to make a unboxing video for you stupid noob.

  • @getnhigh247 Now there dirt cheap like 75 bucks on craigslist, there shit. :D like you

  • @gatler05 Lol theirs barely any on craigslist, on ebay the cheapest you can get one is $150.00 USD, their a lot better then your single crap ass 3 generation re branded card XD. Just unplug your ethernet cable please. You know nothing.

  • @getnhigh247 There always on fucking craigslist. there for under 100 there shit, old generation crap.

  • @gatler05 Lol just looked their all minimum of $147.00 USD. Its funny how you call it old generation crap when the 8800 Ultras G80 Architecture rapes the G92 one completely. And second off the 9800 GTX and GTS 250 are re-branded versions of the 8800 GTS 512mb edition with the G92 core so yes your GTS 250 is very old generation crap.

  • @getnhigh247 Its funny cause I just found one for 75 dollars on san diego craigslist, nah man GTS 250 1GB is exactly the fucking same a a 9800GTX+ your stupid, dude your just mad that its better than your bitch ass ultras.

  • @gatler05 GTS 250 Has a higher Core Clock, and Frequencies.

  • @DarkNatasX Still preforms better than the ultra to, so mmm.

  • @gatler05 Yup.

  • @gatler05 Rofl i don't care if it better then my ultras because its not. Your just a straight up retard. You cant compare clocks with another card with a completely different architecture. Ya because everyone going to go to San Diego just to buy a fuck graphics card, get real. and yes your are right the 9800 GTX is the same as the GTS 250, exactly what i said in my last post proving your cant read. and since you like taking about my ultras so much, my 2x ultras will shit on your x1 gts 250

  • @getnhigh247 Then stop fucking bitching, I already won. Damn dude your a rageing homo lol.

  • @gatler05 Thank you then, so yes the ultra beats the:

8800 GTS 512, 9800 GTX, and GTS 250, as well as any other single g92 based card. Your a complete moron who needs a tutorial on how to read specs. You must lose at everything you do, Lol i bet you even drive a Toyota, because your avatar is screaming that.

  • @getnhigh247 if i have some extra money, ill go for the xfx 5770.. tnx,

  • @getnhigh247 I don't think a single 8800 Ultra beats a 9800 GTX... perhaps at the higher resolutions past 1920x1200 but below that I believe 9800 GTX is superior.

  • @gatler05 You just mad to because my Case and power supply cost more then your entire system XD.

  • @getnhigh247 fantastic name bro.

  • @getnhigh247 GTS 250 has higher clocks than the Ultra

  • Does anyone have any advice on what graphics card I should get? I have a Intel Pentium E5400 @ 2.7 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, and a GeForce 8500gt (Windows xp), and my psu is either 300-500 watts... Gotta double check though...

  • Never buy PNY

  • Rebadged GeForce 9 series card?

I don't really like this card. I'm about to build my PC and in the early days of the build, GTS 250 and an i7-860. Switched to AMD Phenom II 965 3.4GHz Quad Core and a 480. But of course, by seeing reviews and looking at those fancy specifications, it's a pretty good card.

  • could u guys do a video on a EVGA GeForce GTS 250 Video Card - 1024MB DDR3? i was looking for the akimbo 9800gt card, but found it nearly impossible to find. so this is the next best thing. thank u.

love the vids btw, very informative.

  • This card is not that great, my laptop has the 1gb version of this card its good but like every card its needs a good processor behind it.

  • i just cant tell how much i hate a dual slot graphic card

  • @hanrinch well u can get a sparkle version of this card and its single slot

  • Comment removed

  • it comes with single back bracket while the heatsink is still dual slot design.

  • @hanrinch ah i see soz

  • I wish I could afford it D:

  • I just bought this card that came with a version of COD4 and with a 650 watt XFX power supply for $99

  • @AnatoliyKozlov wherewheree where

  • @siglosgab It was a Guerilla Deal on Newegg but the deal was only good for 24 hours...sorry

  • this card does not let me max graphic warcraft

  • @Maxwilso power supply and cpu?

  • @Maxwilso you're likely bottlenecking. This can run Crysis on high.

  • I just bought this card and fuck I jizeed when it was in the box, then jizzed some more when I saw the awesome design, then jizzed consistently when I installed it

  • AM having a 550w PSU from Huntkey..

    It has dual +12v rail..

    +12v1=18A

    +12V2=16A

So how much amp do i have in my PSu and will it be enough to power this card on full load...

    Pls help me out guys...

  • whats the reccomended Power supply for this?

  • @Martyr022 at least 400 wats

  • Great card, kinda loud though.

  • @jigafer1993

    loud? lol

a cheap 120mm case fan is loud for a pc fan I guess, but the gts250 isn't loud to me.

  • hi just a quetion i have a emachines laptop and i am not sure if all graphic cards can fit all pc / laptop do you think it coudl fit my emachines laptop if not could some one tell me the best graphic card for my emachiens laptop

  • @soulsum this will not fit into ur laptop, dude laptop prices are really high, if u want something that is going to give u the performance of this, u gana have to pay like 300 dollars, i say stay away from laptop gaming

  • @luian90

You can get a laptop for about $1200 that has a Core i7, 6 GBs of DDR3 RAM, and a DX11 ATI card that is around as powerful as 5750-5770.

    That would be good.

  • @Usul573 thats a lot of money, when you can build a core i7 with x58 sli motherboard, 6 gigs of ddr3 ra, and now with the gtx 460 out recently, add two of those, and you can now run any game you want no problem , and only spend 1000 dollars ..... hd 5750= gts 250 if am correct, i think not even that, but thats weak for the amount of cash u paying. so no thats not good

  • @luian90

The Mobility 5870 is between 5750 and 5770, that's what I was saying, and the 5750 is on average a bit faster than a GTS 250.

Uh, you can run any game you want on that too no problem, but yeah the price-performance ratio is still a bit off for laptops versus desktops for gaming, but getting better, laptops used to be like $2500 for a half-way decent one right?

On $1000? Case, power, Win 7, memory, GPU, CPU, HD screen, speakers, hard drive, DVD, MB. Might be a bit more.

  • @Usul573 no, 1000 dollars would be the price, might go all th way to 1100, but no more than that. if you need the screen that will round up to 1200. with the screen, but most people these days have a screen, which wouldnt apply to them. and still smoke any laptop out there

  • @luian90

Ah something around there. Mobility 5870 is the second best mobile GPU, GTX 480M is the best being about as powerful as a 5770. I mean, that's really good, but yeah.

I guess I think gaming laptops are awesome since mine is NOT so good. I might just do a budget gaming desktop though, and use my laptop for everything else. Could use the same monitor. Laptops are outselling desktops these days though right? Is kinda nice to have ONE computer though for everything.

  • @Usul573 yeah it depends if you like playing in a 15 inch screen, or 19, but i go for higher resolution, overall i rather just buy a kick ass desktop for gaming, then buy a cheap note book, 200 dollars or so and use that for my mobile needs. They are outselling desktops, because most people are getting into building their own system

  • The only thing i dont like about this card is the wires. Thick as fuck, I had to move my hard drive somewhere else just so i could make space for it. But i dont know if it is different between the 512mb and the 1 gig cause i got da 1 gig

  • cant wait for my card to arrive tomorrow atleast i hope it does

  • one thing i dont like about the pny gts 250 is when you open it, the card isnt protected that much :(.

  • Can i fit this ito my HP mini slimline????

I was dum to buy a hd4870 dual n could'nt fit into my slimline!

  • @iamapilotarjun You might want to get a sparkle gts 250 low profile just to be safe. My advice is research your computer on what size of a card it can hold, then move on from there and find the best card you can fit into it. Good luck with the search =)

  • I got this card a week ago (The 1 GB version). It's really amazing on what it can do! :)

  • i got the 1GB version.

  • @Ac1d147 ya u need a good cpu tho...

  • im getting this card

  • @counterspin2000 You better get it

  • i just got this today.. it wasnt pny tho.. we got the galaxy one cause it was on sale.. but its a great card

  • @halolova1122 Yeah imma buy the galaxy versions and sli them...

  • Is a nVIDIA Geforce Gtx 260 and 260m better than this videocard?

  • @XeresKyle

    GTX 260 yes, especially if it's a GTX 260 Core 216 OC

    GTX 260m no

  • can a OEM no brand 520wats psu take this card ok with a core 2 quad q8400 and 4gb of ram 800mhz???

  • This card sucks it blows hot air into your system and PNY CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!

  • I just bought this card :)

  • @DualCorePower thinking of getting it, how u finding it?

  • @spriteBoat well i bought it, but took it back because for some reason my psu which is 430 watts couldn't handle it, kept getting black screens, monitor sigials messages when playing certain games, also i think my intel pentium d was bottlenecking, because the performance wasn't that good or better over my 9800gt.

Besides the point, um i bought it from best buy for 75 bucks.

  • @DualCorePower is it good i heard its just under gtx 260

  • @DualCorePower HEYY do you think this card would fit my (x16 PCIe) graphic slot? I am not sure what the interface (like if my slot is PCI Express 2.1 or PCI Express 2.0). Also, what is your view on this card?? Can I play battlefield 2 or other games that are going to release in fall 2010? THANKSSSS!

  • @pooohz

I have one of these and it cant handle bad company 2 that well with all settings on medium :(

  • @DualCorePower

me too :D she is perfect :)

  • @DualCorePower Well seeing as you just bought it can i run all games maxed out DX 10 with my new system im getting

    AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0ghz

    GTS 250

    4GB DDR2 memory

  • @DualCorePower Hah Same

  • @DualCorePower Would you like a cookie?

  • @DualCorePower so? its good?

  • i think i will buy these motherboard and processor and i will buy also geforce 9600gt 1gb because its too expensive and my budget only is about $320 but our moey is Php peso worth of 15,000 pesos XD so very very very thank you .

  • hey . can i play call of duty 4 modern warfare, call of duty modern warfare 2, tom clancy's splinter cell, and max payne 3 with this video card and Intel(r) pentium(r) 1.50gb of ram and 1.80Ghz ? pls reply :)

  • @Roybalboa

I don't know about Max Payne 3 yet, and your ram and CPU probably aren't too good, but this card should be good. You can get one for $125 on amazon. Careful which one you get.

  • @Usul573

You know, maybe a 5770 would be a better idea, another ~$50 but better technology, and more power, seems to work with Splinter Cell better than the Nvidia cards did.

  • @Usul573 i got a 5770 and it runs EVERY game on highest at 1920 x 1080 well excluding crysis

  • @Usul573 so i must upgrade my ram into 2gb and what should i buy ? and how 'bout my CPU ? how many GHz i need ? sorry for my bad english. XD

  • @Roybalboa English is ok. I can't tell for sure what kind of CPU you can upgrade to, I don't know what type of CPU you have. Is it E2160? If it is, and is LGA775, get Q9650 best. Q9550, E8500 and E8400 good also for games. Be careful! Do you have a good power supply and decent sized case? 5770 is big and needs some power, but is efficient. The more RAM the better, I don't know how much is best for Splinter Cell. 2 GB might be ok. Careful with upgrading. Expensive too.
  • @Usul573 hey dude . I"M VERY GLAD THAT YOU HELP MEH !!! THANK YOU !!!

and oh wait . it is ok if i buy 0.5gb ram to make it 2 gb?

  • @Roybalboa

I'm not positive which type of ram works for you.

You can get 4 GBs for around $100 these days though, so get what you can.

  • @Usul573 my motherboard is 865A01

  • @Roybalboa

Oh....that might just support single core processors, DDR RAM, and just have a slot for AGP graphics.

    There's still some AGP cards.....some.

Don't think there's too much you can do to upgrade with that one.

  • @Usul573 so i must buy a new motherboard?? and what kind of motherboard?? and i think i will upgrade my cpu only dual core.. and this graphic card.. right ??

  • @Roybalboa

Well I'm not the best with putting motherboards together in cases yet. I'm going to learn more.

Some motherboards support Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad, some support i3/i5/i7 and there's another that supports other types of i5 and i7

    Something like that

If you go on amazon the boards list what they support.

Definitely need PCI-E 2.0 which they have for graphics cards

I dunno at this point maybe getting a new computer....well it's expensive but not crazy.

  • @Usul573

Bit crazy. i3s are pretty good dual cores, i5s are really good dual cores and one i5 is a quad core, i7s are the best quad cores. Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad are the older generation but still good as long as you get one of the faster ones.

Can get some really good CPUs in the $160 to $270 range.

  • @Usul573 haha .tnx but you have already say motherboards. remember ? but it is too many so what should i buy? and i think i will just buy dual core

  • @Roybalboa

    I don't know...

    Now I'm confused

Going to get a motherboard, CPU, memory, graphics card, and swap it all out and everything then?

Only a handful of games have recommended quad cores.

Core i3-530, Core i5-650, or E8400 are good. Careful with the socket type.

  • @Usul573 q9400 is motherboard or processor ? if it is processor and what motherboard that fits the q9400 ?

  • @Roybalboa

That's a quad core processor, fits into LGA 775.

I'd probably go for one of the newer ones though, since they support faster types of memory. With LGA 1156 or 1366.

  • @Usul573 so you mean q9400 is a processor and the motherboard must LGA 775

  • @Roybalboa

Yep if you want to use a Q9400, which is a good processor, the motherboard has to support socket LGA775.

I guess that would work, Q9400 in a motherboard with LGA775, DDR2 memory at 800 MHz, and a graphics card of course.

  • @Usul573 i think this motherboard and processor as we talking about, i decided that this is it ! XD

    Ah going to do that?

For a graphics card I think the 5770 would be a good choice.

5850 or 5870 if possible but they're expensive.

  • I have a gts 250 that has 2*6 pin connectors and my power supply only has two 6 pin connectors (Corsair 620W).

I want to add one more gts 250 for SLI but i don't know if my power supply could do that.

I've tried to start up my system with only 1 connector plugged in my gts 250 and it worked, but would it work if i had another gts 250?

Would connecting one less connector affect the performance??

    Plz help.

    Thx.

  • i think imma get one of these until i can afford a 5850 then i'll use the GTS 250 as physX

i might get the palit one to save space though lol

  • is this for pc or ps3(question mark)

  • pc of course@fagerbag

    ps3 already have nvidia 7800
