@lorry3535 Not Shenmue. Not even close, but I can help. Mute only lasts for 1.5 seconds. During that time, your pursuer or target can not do ANYTHING but run. It is a decent alternative to the smoke bomb, but it is not as great as it was in Brotherhood. If you want to make a Defensive set, Smoke Bomb and Mute are usually the standard.

This is a good game, but the multiplayer is basically unplayable now. People who run around jumping off of rooftops, climbing walls, and even rushing through crowds always seem to win, and those of them who get stunned by their targets for being dumbasses still get the kill because the game gives you the tools to negate the playstyles of those of us who actually try to be descreet (like dropping a poison bomb AFTER being stunned, or Templar Vision).

Shenmue, you have inspired me! I'm only Level 37 or so on ACR right now so I either get matched up with all level 50's, or all Level 10's and below, it's weird. Anyway, when I'm in the noob lobby I realize that they all run around thinking it's CoD. So yesterday after watching this video, I stole your strategy. I got one good 900 pt poison kill, then only stunned for the rest of the game and had 3 or more pursuers on me the entire time. Worked like a charm, captured 1st place by a long shot <3

Last night I was in a Deathmatch with a level 50 dude playing as the guardian. I was just about to kill him and he animus hacked me. Not knowing what the fuck just happened, I tried to run him down on my next respawn and all I saw was him killing literally everyone else in the lobby.

And that's how I learned that the 9-kill streak animus hack doesn't give a fuck.

Animus Hacking can hack every person in the lobby for 100 points (you can spend time focusing but you won't get the focus bonus). I think the AH stays for 30 seconds so it's 30 glorious seconds of "fuck 'ems" for all the children in a lobby. Cheers!!

The offensive animus hack lets you hack anyone for 100 points whether it's your pursuer, your target or just some random player you see running about. I've never activated it before, but I thought you could keep doing it, so I was surprised when it didn't let you anymore after you got your persuer.
