As stated in the description this is not an emulator. It's just to show how easy it is to make something that looks like one.

Your best bet would be to try out Dolphin. A Gamecube emulator with some Wii support. You ought to find it with google. I doubt it's any good yet though. And if it is it would still be a pain to set it up due to Wii using special controllers and stuff.

No programming. It's real simple. Underneath the picture-in-picture window I placed the window of a file explorer-program.

I simply made a folder called "Wiimulator - blablabla v1.0something" and opened it in the file-explorer and resized the window to fit around the PiP-picture. At first I wanted to use explorer but relized everyone would recognize the title bar.

If you take a closer look you'll notice that in the video the windows XP theme is set to the old windows 98 style but curiously the Wii Emulator window frame seems to be a blue color and has no header. This suggests that either the emulator was created to look like that or the more logical answer is that the Emulator is just a Wii hooked up to a pc monitor running PIP (Picture In Picture).

Tell your mom to buy you a real Wii. :) There's no _working_ Wii emulator yet, and chances are there will never be. Todays consoles are EXTREMELY more complex than previous consoles. And even the lowly SNES (at roughly 3MHz) requires a PC about 200MHz to work fine. New consoles have heavy encryption and many complex processors. I could go on about this forever... :P

And again; this video is just an example of how easy it is to make something that looks like an emulator.

Now.. the first logical thing to do if you wanted to download this "emulator" is to check the description. Doing that you would quickly find out that it isn't an emulator at all. And you would also learn about the intention of the video. The "Re:" in front of the title also suggest that it is only a reply to a "Wii emulator".

This is a kind of response to those videos just to show how extremely easy it is to make a fake "emulator". I used nothing more than a webcam and a LCD TV with picture-in-picture. The frame (what looks like the program) is just another program window wich I have changed the title on.

actually we have been working on one and it works. it looks like a REAL WII but we went for authenticity. it can only play a Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz Iso files. (takes hours considering that it has to encode them)

My (and Tizen's) monitor have several video-inputs and can display two of those inputs simultaneously. So it's actually not hooked up to the computer at all. ROMS are avaiable just as with Xbox, PS2 etc. but most are (obviously) illegal to download.

The sensor bar (which doesn't have any sensors at all) has two IR-light sources. One in each end. (In the front of the Wiimotes there is a small IR-camera). The wiimote uses those two IR lightsources to figure out where you're pointing and at what angle and what distance. This is also the reason why Wiimotes are sensitive to sunlight and other lightsources.
