@jeco01302011 i had a sub split on me once, i used a thin, flexible piece of plastic and some pva glue and it seemed to fix it perfectly, i couldnt tell the difference in sound, but thats just a car sub, your hifi speakers may not be so forgiving, but i guess its worth a try if the only other option is a recone/replacement driver?
It's made in China. Wharfedale stopped being a UK OEM decades ago and the brand name has been through a few hands since. There are no longer any indigenous OEM's of anything and all speakers are now sourced from five production plants all in China.
Watch this magazine theyre heavily tied to their advertisers, just search the second hand hi-fi sections after they make BEST OF claims , theres a glut of so called 'award winners' equipment , i made costly mistakes following this 'life style' magazines award winners. i now use older equipment that can play music. HI-fi has to sell within the first 10 mins of hearing it -usually brightest slapped around face with a dead fish sound works for the uninitiated - Hi-fi not meant to work like that!
@blackmerriah As always, careful system matching is paramount. You can buy all different 5 star award winning components that will just not gel in use. Every magazine will say, always listen to the components, and listen to as many combinations as you can before making a decision.
@themohawkadmin Thats good to hear lol.I bought three pairs of these and blew my front right during loud film playback.Im pretty sure it was a faulty driver and got it replaced under warranty :)
wharfedale are awsome even old wharfedales still sound and look awsome! I have the 306's and iv used them on a sansui AUD101 amp (1985) sony hi fi (cant remember model) (2001) sony HST950W hi fi (1986) and now a cambridge audio a1 intergrated amp.
@joelwarfe306 get into the audioworld idiot, these r shit"loud and high quality" my ass go to a car audio store 1 sub is 50-250$ each dual voice coil so they can get very loud...what makes the "quality" in this is the box the box is what makes it sound good...try those shitty speakers u saw in the vid in free air, they will sound like shit...if u got money to spend by some audiobahns aw1008t and an amp with a nice vented box.
My wharfdale diamond 9.4's surround was ripped is there any way I can fix or order another cone for it? thanks :)

@FedUpLurker It is however designed in England, and voiced by audio engineer Peter Comaeu, the sound is definitely British

I would use tube amplifier for those speakers and nicely finished turntable.

Some information about whether the 10.2 or even 9.3 were better would have been useful.
