@groombridge34 i went up to alta and snow bird last winter. i was told that mid febuary you will have the most snow of the season, but im not sure about actual snow fall. I stayed for 4 days at the alta peruvian lodge which is literally a less then 5 minute walk to the lift line, its on the edge of the parking lot for alta. it was great and we got around 3rd chair almost every time. no matter what time you go there will be some untouched snow. have fun! and in my opinion i liked alta the most.

Ohhh... I get tingles all up my spine imagining first tracks on Rusty. There is not one thing in this whole entire world that would make me happier than skiing what you just did.
That's the truth. People can get pretty competitive over those first tracks. Personally, I go for wildcat on a powder day. The chutes get sooo deep, and you usually don't have to wait in line like at collins.
i did that exact traverse a few days ago, riped up the pow pow down greely bowl. If you can get a good place in line, devils castle, catherins and even ballroom are good.

Forget about rush hour in NYC... The high traverse race to Alf's in powder mornings is just crazy.
Be aware: if you are not moving EXTREMELY fast you better let people go or somebody may push you over a cliff.
