  • ya can't mistaken that voice. if you were an untouchables fan like me.

  • 8:47

  • 2:54 and 3:06...how may takes you think it took between the two? i wouldn't be able to hold a straight face. that's for sure.

  • Rex Kramer for President - 2012

  • OMG the green screen behind Kramer and Paul made me loose it especially when Kramer walked through the mirror! XD

  • The part where he steps through the mirror is pure genius. RIP Robert Stack

  • R.I.P. Robert Stack. Legendary Actor.

  • @inconvenientruth1 He was one of the best actors who ever lived. And he will forever be remembered for his works.

  • Christ knows how many takes they must have had on some of these scenes?

  • Alright Steve, lets face a few facts (takes off first pair of shades...).

  • love when he throws the cig out the window and McCroskey anticipates the explosion ! !

  • @krizan1 My favourite moment by far.

  • Kramer fight scene is my fave Kramer moment !

  • He walked out of the mirror! They really know how to hide jokes.

  • The guy on the right at 8:55 looks a lot like Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger).

  • all these needed serious help........there is NO way I could've been on this set!

  • Rex Kramer, Danger Seeker

  • I like when Rex hits the guy on the bike...ASSHOLE!!

  • @freakofevolution I saw this in the movie theater during its first run. We were laughing so hard at that point we never heard the "asshole!"

Took me ten years before I saw it on cable and heard it for the first time.

  • 4 people missed the sale at JCPenney's.

  • Only Rex Kramer wears sunglasses...over his sunglasses. How do you like that Horatio? XD

  • 2:06-2:31 You almost have to do that at airports.

  • 0:51 It's unbelievable! Airport management, the FAA and the airlines. All cheats and liars! All right, let's get out of here.

  • How to write Airplane!:

Throw a joke at the screen every five seconds, eventually something will stick and be hilarious.

  • Keep 'em at 24,000. No, feet.

  • Striker, have you ever flown a multi-engine plane before? No, never. Shit, this is a god damn waste of time. Theres no way he can land this plane. Getta hold of yourself, you gotta talk him down, you gotta. Route him into Lake Michigan, at least it will avoid killing innocent people. :p

  • @Ronf465 Gotta love Striker's face as Kramer unknowingly shreds him over the radio. LOL!

  • 2:05

  • I'm 18 years old, and this movie has been my favorite comedy since I was 13

  • As funny as it was when I first saw it 30 years ago. Hilarious!

  • 0:50!!!! Best scene

  • 4:20 -

If he would have said this quote on an episode of Unsolved Mysteries, it would have been division by zero.

  • Where'd that watermelon come from?!

  • Jews for Jesus AHH!

  • 4 people had the crap kicked out of 'em by Captain Kramer.

  • OMG he was in airplane? of course! now i remember him.. but i want that image of him on unsolved mysteries to be the one i remember. He was the best , its so sad he isnt around anymore . The 90's and 80's were the best times , Tv was at its best IMO. Okay technologically its so much better now..but the quality has gone from TV and its shows. We dont see unique people like Robert Stacks. American TV is becoming more and more like crappy British TV , not surprised so many executives are here

  • Fantastic, we could do with a few more Rex Kramers.

  • @mrdwonderfull There IS another Rex Kramer ;). Look up "Kentucky Fried Movie" or "Rex Kramer Danger Seeker". By the same writers by the way ;)

  • @michelrpg Cheers for that, it's a movie I've been meaning to watch for years.

  • @michelrpg TEAM KRAMER(AMERICA), FUCK YEA!!

  • what was the deal with the javelin and watermelon ?

  • The 4 dislikes were beaten up by Robert Stack at LAX. Many years ago I personally remember all those religious fanatic drooling cretins swarming around that airport like the bothersome insects they were. I LOOOOOOOOVE seeing these airport solicitor cuntlappers get hurt.

  • 4:38!!! Now we know why smokers flick their butts!!!

  • I wanna work at that airport

  • U know what f them for havin that vulture up there lol

  • 4 people got stuck by the spear and hit with watermelon

  • Excuse me We would like for you to have this flower

    SHOVE

  • She walked away while her dog was basically violating dude lol

  • Route him into Lake Michigan, it's he'll avoid killing innocent people

  • R.I.P Leslie

I am serious, and don't call me Shirley

  • Shep....come..lol, don't you hate when you go to someones house and the damn dog doesn't listen to anything the f'n owner does or says!!!

  • Great stuff, but you shouldn't have cut out all the Johnie scenes

  • Anybody notice the phone in the car WTF?, ive seen this film a thousand times and only notice now. lol!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL @ 8:21

  • "SHIT! This is a goddamn waste of time. There's no way he can land this plane."

  • Keep em at 24,000. No, feet.

    Best line in the movie.

  • 1:10 Ingenious. Also, I wonder what the guy on the other line said at 1:24 to make him say, "No, feet."

  • @spanky1113 yeah same, have u figured out what he said?

  • Some of the finest performing in the history of performances. Pure gold

  • The "this is a God damned waste of time..." line is about my favorite one in the movie.

  • His walk through the airport hall is EPIC!!!

  • hella awesome

  • 2:31 Sunglasses

  • Comment removed

  • i love how serious he is with the most ridiculous shit happening XD

  • So help me you'll have to talk him right down to the ground! **SPLAT** kills me every time!!! LOLOLOLOLOL

  • Me John, Big Tree!

  • I love this clip, a fucking classic!

  • Oh My Gosh, there's a sale at Penney's!

  • the tower?! RAPUNZEL!!!

  • 2:35 The sunglasses gag is one of the funniest moments ever committed to film.

  • Seen this film a hundred times but that part with the sunglasses always gets me :D

  • He walks out of the mirror!!!

  • how could you cut out this classic part?:

    "The fog's getting thicker"

    "And Leon's getting LAAARGER!"

  • 1:36........Too funny!!!!

  • i love how he steps through the supposed mirror

  • @Theburn77 Oh Yea!...That was the best part while the Lab was mauling the dude on the floor...HA HA HA!

  • Keep them at 24,000...No, feet!

    Help Jerry's Kids...Oy Ey!

Shit...It's a Goddamn waste of time!

Flying a plane is no different then riding a bicycle, except it's a little harder to put baseball cards in the spokes!

It's damn good thing you don't know how much he hates your guts!

Get that finger out of your ear...you don't know where that fingers been! (SNIFF)

  • You left out Stack's speech at the end. What's the point?

  • I just love that Dog, and the part he hits a biker I laughed til I cried.

  • I can't deal with this now.

  • The first time when I heard Robert Stacks voice, it was in Transformers as Ultra Magnus. Didnt he have a show The Untouchables?

  • They don't make 'em like they used to.

  • I always thought Stack was a scary grim announcer guy (I only saw him in Unsolved Mysteries), but never have I seen him as a badass.

  • keep em' at 24,000....no feet.

  • Ilove the mirror trick. easy to miss. my girlfriend didn't notice it until I told her

  • I remember seeing this movie for the first time as a kid and realizing "Hey! It's the guy from Unsolved Mysteries!" I think it's hysterical seeing Robert Stack playing a role that "shirley isn't serious"

  • RIP Robert Stack

  • love Rex Kramer but one of the best is missing. The one where he's asked if they should turn on the landing lights & Kramer says "No.... that's just what they're expecting us to do".

  • You know I've seen this movie probably more than 20 times but the other day my father pointed out the fact that the plane sounds like a prop plane and not a jet. Somehow I missed that.

  • @jaegerhund OMG you're right! haha, ive seen it too many times to count and pretty much know no it line for line..... but somehow i missed that too! lol, just goes to show how incredibly brilliant the film is when you can still pick up stuff after so many years of watching it!

  • @TheGmgirl77 Cool -- take it easy in Oz.

  • LMFAO what is up with the green screen and the airport scene? Robert stack is hilarious

  • Wonder if they had to take Paul to the hospital after the scene from 0:00 to 1:14 or so. LOL!

  • Comment removed

  • I would love to get my hands on that rear view stock footage for a college project...any ideas people?

  • Me John! Big Tree!

  • Well you'd think after all these years someone would listen to you! There All Cheats and Liars!

  • I sometimes forget about how fucking bloody funny Robert Stack was. People always think of his grim and ominous demeanor from Unsolved Mysteries, but then you remember that he made you laugh your ass off in things like Airplane, Beavis/Butthead and BASEketball.

  • hes awesome!

  • @fullclip16117 lol, I love listening to his voice on Unsolved Mysteries, not in a gay way, haha, just the way he sounds, and it brings back memories hearing his voice too :-)

  • @fullclip16117 Stack was one of the greats. Like Leslie, during his career he had to deliver a lot of silly, over the top lines straight, which made him perfect for "Airplane!"

  • @fullclip16117 he also did an EXCELLENT job as the voice of Bob in Disney's Animated "Hercules" series, which wasn't as bad as it sounds.

  • @fullclip16117 You are right on about Bob Stack - he is hilarious in this movie. My wife and I say aloud to each other when leaving in our car for someplace : "cheats and liars - alright let's get out of here!" We both appreciate the slapstick humor. And Bob was a real standout in Airplane and that was hard to do, look at that cast! Thanks for giving him props. " Municipal Bonds Ted, I'm talking triple A rating. Do you know what it's like to be kicked in the head with an iron boot?

  • Hes in Charge now, Hes the boss, Head Man, Top Dog, Big Cheese, Head Honcho, Number Uno ...

  • "Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle; it's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."

  • Oh my God

  • Keep 'em at 24,000, no feet! Funny stuff in this clip...

  • I remember two of Robert Stack's most memorable roles were as the voice of Ultra-Magnus for the original Transformers film, and as the voice of an FBI agent from Beavis and Butthead Do America.

  • @MDthornton83 I'll always remember him as the host of Unsolved Mysteries. One of my favorite shows.

  • @timberwolf84 That two is another one of his most memorable roles.

  • 1:37-1:41-LMMFAO!!

  • Robert Stack was bisexual.

  • and then you woke up.

meanwhile, you're putting us to sleep with your who-cares information

  • scientologeeeeeee!!!!!!!

  • 2:19 one of the most badass moves I've ever seen!!!

The beating up of all the solictors is probably my favorite scene in the movie.

  • I'm STILL amazed that Robert Stack ACTUALLY DID THAT!!!

  • Does any one else notice the camera trick with the mirror in scene 0:57-1:13? It's really hard to catch, but watch it and you will see what I mean...

  • I didn't find that out until a few years ago. You're so busy concentration on the poor guy getting his ass attacked by the dog that you just let it slide!

  • At 2:31, he should go like "Who else wants a peice of Robert Stack?"

  • That's one vicious dog!

  • this is completely and utterly hilarious

  • My favorite is when he takes off his sunglasses and has another pair on underneath. Classic deadpan humor

  • His walk through the airport kicking shit of the religious nutcases is superb.

  • I didn't know Robert Stack could kick ass like that! Heh. He must have really been something else back in the day! Go Robert!

  • @qwaszx12cv that it was.. but.. maybe don't throw 'nutcases' around so freely.

  • @qwaszx12cv yeah no one messes with Rex Kramer bitches.

  • This is the best movie ever!

  • Shit! This is a god damn waste of time, there's no way he can land that plane. Route him into Lake Michigan, at least he'll avoid killing innocent people.

    --classic--

  • Hahahaha, one of the best "non-famous" lines of the film...

  • The scary part is, every other sentence is a "non famous" line in this movie. Every time I watch it, I always pick up something that I've missed before!

  • On InstrumentsLOL!

  • 1:37-1:41 haha classic

  • Sounds like the dog in the beginning of the clip was trying to attack the guy.

  • I know! The crazy thing is that woman didn't seem to care for the guy's saftey. Almost like she was thinking; "Oh hell. I don't care if the dog attacks him! I'll let him do as he pleases!"

  • Yeah! What's funny though is that she says, "He always gets so excited whenever new people are here!" If I were the guy, I would've said, "Excited? Or hungry?"

  • Well, I can say this much; a dog as vicious and unpredictable as that would either have to be chained up somewhere or put down. Or, teach it how to behave itself if the dog is trainable.

  • That's because he was bisexual.

  • Aw, you cut out one of the best lines. "You know what it's like to be kicked... in the head... by an iron boot?! No of course you don't, never happens."

  • that's impossible, they'r on instruments

    THAT'S THE BEST QUOTE

  • "Keep 'em at 24 thousand.

    No, feet"

    Lolololololololol

  • 5:23 und 4:05 !

    hahahaha

  • 1:10 is sooo brilliant !!

  • Get that finger out of your ear, you don't know where it's been!! ROFLLLLLLLL

  • "The tower?? The tower?? Rapunzel! Rapunzel!!" Johnny is the best! XD

  • 6:17 the sh*t literally hits the fan!

  • lol 2:41

i still dont get the "spear" & "watermelon" gags

  • I love the newspaper scene!

    Kramer "Passengers certain to die!"

    McCrosky "Airline negligence."

    Johnny "There's a sale at Penny's!"

  • Over the years I think the airports rid themselves of all those solicitors hustling people for donations. You simply don't find that anymore.

Did you see the blooper, the guy says "Read about Jehovah's witness? How about Buddhism?" but his lips are not moving when he says it.

I think the funniest scene in the whole movie was when copilot Kareem Abdul Jabbar passes out, and they pull him out of the seat and he's wearing a Laker uniform.

  • I love the part where he runs over the guy on the motorcycle and the guy screams A__hole!! I remember when this came out, I went to see it at the theatre. Fun movie.

  • lol man the dog scene is so effin funny. i like how the dog sits next to the lady, then looks over at the dude and then guns it right for him. lolol

  • Great thing about this movie is that there are so many little jokes that you don't see the first, second, third time around. One of my favourite movies of all time. Hilarious.

  • R.I.P. Loydd Bridges and Robert Stack

  • hahahahaha i love the dog scene it's so realistic too

  • It's so great when guys like Stack and Neilson, totally straight laced actors, play it straight in a comedy.

  • And don't forget Lloyd Bridges too!

  • Haha, I just realized at 1:07, he's supposed to be looking in a mirror, but then steps right through.

  • I watched this movie about 20 times and that's the first time I noticed it. My favorite scene is with that dog...lol

  • Haha, yeah the dog is pretty great. I love it when they're driving and the background changes behind them.

  • Jews for Jesus? OH!

  • get that finger out of your ear.. you dont know where that finger's been.

  • GET ME rex kramer!

  • seen this film hundreds of times, didn't even notice kramer was walking thru his own mirror at the start!

  • I just noticed the same thing a week ago when I watched this again.

  • I noticed that about 2 minutes ago.

  • Ah here we go

Kramer : Standby Striker. Our one hope is to build this man up, I've got to give him all the confidence I can. Striker- have you ever flown a multi-engine plane before?

    Striker: NO, never.

Kramer : (TO McCrosky thinking that the radio to Striker is off)SHIT! This is a God damned waste of time, there's no way he can land that plane.

  • "have you ever flown a twin engine plane before?"

    "um no"

    "Shit"

    lol

  • Stack doesn't say a "twin engine plane." He says something else which is inaudible.

  • Instraments LMAO

  • 2:06 Robert Stack pwning everyone in his path is the greatest comedy moment in movie history!!

  • Paul was damn lucky!

I typically get dry-humped by other peoples' dogs.

Dear God, Capt. Kramer hit the Andre the Giant of cyclists! Love how nonchalant Kramer is during the blue screen scene.

    "Scientolog-eeeee!"

I see Kramer also practices fair game tactics.

  • Brilliant. Genius.

  • Perfect casting! Robert Stack!!

From "The High and Mighty" to "Airplane", Stack was # 1!
