  • hi you use a software on the PC with the korg?

  • @Rimasto67 Hi, no. It's only the EMX sequencing here, PC is used only for recording the sound for the video :)

It's connected to the K-station via midi and sequencing that too.

  • sup Harril.. Great stuff man.. i watched all 5 of em and still was hungry for more.. anyway.. how do u control the bassline from the k-station? do you use the arpeggiator from the emx for it?

  • Thanks, great to know that! :) The KS is set to receive incoming MIDI-data on channel 5, and that's also the channel that the EMX's fifth synth part is outputting. So yes, i have the EMX sequencing the KS as well as playing notes when i hit the arpeggiator pad!

  • I've had mine for two days now and I can say I have great respect for what you do. I've had some difficulty figuring some things out, although I think I've made great progress in only two days. If I have any questions can I write to you?

  • Hey! Thanks, just drop me a message if there's something in your mind!

The EMXs' learning curve depends on your background in music; if you are familiar with xox-type sequencers then it's pretty easy to get the hang of it! :)

  • my electribe will be here in less than a week, and korg should thank you HarriL.. Your music has inspired it all!! thanks HarriL and thanks Korg for making such awesome stuff!!!

  • wow , you know how make good music on this.... it can be done folks ! it can be done !

  • Haha, that's very subjective. But thanks anyway ;)

  • i don't get it

  • You don't get what?

  • where all the sounds are coming from

  • The sounds are coming from the machine you see there (Korg Electribe MX), and one bass sound is coming from another synthesizer (Novation K-station).

  • too complicated for me V.V

  • so how is your kstation connected to the emx, midi?

  • Yes, midi!

  • If Jesus had a box he'd prolly add this vid to his favorites.

  • haahhahahahahahahah

  • Oh my god you're so right xD

  • Let us call him Synthesizer God!

  • Hah, let me thank you for that title ;)

  • wow thanks alot for this video it really gives the basics of the emx

  • good good good

  • hello I was wondering if you could make a video , about how to save set patterns together like if I go from sonng part 1 and want to chain it to song 2 u know the 4 bars and then chain it to song three which is 4 bars and then save it to the song.

the instructions in the maunal are just stressing me out

    thank you

  • yo mate, when u hit the record button at 5:48 and motion sequenced the tweaks...... am i right in thinking that those tweaks then got looped? amazing! so u could tweak the 4th bar of a bassline and every forth it would tweak (cut off = rez) automaticallu? :O

  • hey, wazzup,. em, do you have your songs on mp3'S? If you do , would you plz send them to me? ths, Great work!

  • Yes, you can find some of my songs here: mikseri.[removethis]net/artists/?id=64094&displ_lang=en

    Thanks! :)

  • nice and educative

  • hot

  • I'm very curious on how you Effects Chain is setup for this song (Proud EMX-1 owner too ;) )

  • (FX1)Bpm Delay linked with (FX2)Compressor, then a

    Bpm Delay on FX3 :)

  • Hey man that's an amazing music prod station! And some amazing skills! Hey I was just wondering if it comes stock with any good bass drops, like in the tr-808?

  • Yes, check out your profile page, I sent you a message :)

  • Ah thanks.

I bought a micro korg about 4 years ago, i was young didnt really know what i was doing. Now with the emx + micro, i cant wait!

  • No problem. Ok, that's good. Then you should be familiar with the basic synthesizing tricks, making the emx a piece of cake for you :) Btw, are you planning on sequencing the MK with EMX or computer sequencer?

  • Ill be getting my EMX in about 2 weeks :D. Say, do you knwow the major diffrence between the red one and the blue one?

  • Oh, that's great!

Yes I do, the red one is simply a sampler, and the blue one is a synthesizer(s) & drum machine :)

  • Damn, dude! I think you just sold me on the EMX. I think I underestimated it. Thanks!

  • Haha, that's great ;)

But just remember, the bassline is not from EMX, it's from the K-station. Ofcourse you can create cool bass-sounds with emx, but that's just the way i like to work with my gear.. ;)

    (Thank YOU!)

  • HarriL president !!

  • Yay! :)

  • is electribe mx like a EA-1 with samples? I lost track. This is cool.

  • Mmm.. kind of. EMX is a bit like EA-1 mkII (5 synth parts) + ER-1 mkII (9 drum parts) combined.

    Thanks! :)

  • I had both ER-1 and EA-1 (original) at one point. I gotta sell my ER-1 and get this!

  • Go for it, it's a fun piece of hardware ;)

  • so who is hosni ?

  • That's me. Actually it's my nickname, I like to perform under "HarriL" now.

  • I love your music...
