I still have my G4. It was really a great fast and powerful machine. That was 2000. It's 2011 now. It's slow as hell, but it's still chugging along and can do basic video editing, but slowly.

I want to get at least Leopard on there so I'll be maxing its 256mb ram to about 2gb. And we'll have to do some open firmware hacking so it will think its the 800mhz model (minimum for leopard) and not the 500mhz.

It boggles the mind how people can be so intolerant of other platforms and preferences. I personally use and like both platforms pretty much equally, with a -very- slight lean toward OS X, though I do use Windows very often as well.

Myself, I'd have tried to reuse the case somehow, but ultimately the G3 was dead and it was theirs to do what they wanted with it. They got some money, too, so what's the real loss?

Rare Macs include the TAM (Twentieth Anniversary Mac), G4 Cube, you could also say the emate & newton too but the rarest of all is the Apple I, a few years back on on ebay sold for $50,000

You can't deny that Windows OS has bugs, and lots of them, plus all Windows software is twice as expensive as Mac software.
