There's an interview around here somewhere with ALW explaining it all... basically he wrote it for Sarah Two (Brightman) while he was still married to Sarah One... and then everyone was like "Dude. You're writing a song for your mistress about how awesome it is that you're having an affair. YOU'RE STILL MARRIED. That's not cool!" So he re-purposed it into MOTN. But this was originally a stand-alone song.
