  • lindo

  • Beautiful. It looks very similar to bolero to some people. I had to do a double take and look more carefully, but the foot work is found ballroom rumba not bolero. Also there is more hip movement then bolero.

  • Actually, looks like bolero with more hip action and gay arm poses.

  • @gustavpsi Definitely doesn't look like bolero

  • This is a rumba dance but this one is not passionate like the one we ussually saw...if you try to take a look the movement and language of the dance it is really rumba...basic one that later then if you come into very mood in dancing passionately, you will create new moves that will wow every one...thanks!!!

  • damn! how she moves... very good legs working

  • I would say this is a wonderful Bolero. The Slow is so slooooooowww. Magnificent.

  • Just wonderfull..

  • Dios mio! esto se que es aburrido

  • Beautiful

  • among all spanish dances such as tengo, salsa, samba, the rumba is my all time favorite its slow and passionate, then of course i love the tengo which is like more intense.

  • they should call it Americana Rumba ,it doesn't look like the real Rumba i use to dance!

  • where can i download this song from?? can anyone give me some tips

  • @Nomecy88

la musica se llama " Cuando vuelva a tu lado" it is on limewire and all the net, by Los Panchos, it is popular in America Latina and the world.

  • @Nomecy88 It's called Cuando Vuelva A Tu Lado. I'm not sure whose version this is though.

  • Quelqu'un peut- il me répondre ?

C'est un Rumba (Rhumba) ou un boléro ???

  • Bryan and Karen would have

done just as well as Bryan

    and Carmen

If they had stayed together. And I also preferred Tornsberg and Carmen. Karen has been dancing on UK's Dancing with the Stars. I bet she

    Is the best

    Dancer on the show.

  • @CDAFishboy Of course shes the best lol... shes an international champion!!!...hopefully she going to be a judge on the show, fingers crossed!!!!!

  • Świetne ;)

  • What is the name of this song ????

  • Quand j'avais 20 ans, j'ai pris des cours de dance. Cha Cha Cha, Slow, Rumba.... J'adore tout ça. Je garde toujours mes chaussures de dance. J'ai maintenant 62 ans.

  • I particularly like the step where he go into a shadow position at the end. very very good.

  • I wish I could dance like this... I think I have to take lessons soon :D before it's too late^^

  • hooooooooooot

  • The singer is Olivia Molina-Cuando vuleva A Tu Lado

  • Great music. Anyone know the name and artist of the song?

  • Rumba it's not my favorite, but I like it. In my opinion cha cha cha and salsa are the bests.

  • Love it! Does anyone know the name of the song??

  • The name of the song is "Cuando Vuelva a Tu Lado" by Mexican-American composer María Grever. What I would like to know is whose rendition is this. This is the perfect tempo for dancing Rumba. If anyone knows who recorded it, please post that information. Many thanks in advance!

  • Karen?! Her name is Carmen^^

  • Nope, Karen was thje previous partner, and Carmen looks like Karen.

  • You're right. Karen Hardy was Bryan's previous partner. His current partner is Carmen Vincelj. However, in this particular video, his partner is Karen Hardy.

  • Yea I know :) I like them more together.

  • die folge is jetz nich so der hammer...

    is des brian un carmen?

  • du depp des is falsch geschrieben

  • It's kind of funny to see all the "experts" argue how this isn't Rumba... when they can't seem to figure out that it's Bryan Watson dancing.

  • this is bolero not rhumba

  • this is a rumba bolero has a slight rise and fall and there doing international rumba those are international figures

  • BEAUTIFUL MUSIC N DANCE

  • You're right , Bolero, Rumba a little faster.

  • It is not a rumba you're right. The bit of the song is perfect for dancing rhumba in ballroom competitions. I used to get mad like you, but I started to take some dance classes and one of the thing we were told was to count according to the bit of the song, so I tried and I realized that songs have bit similar not matter the gender.

  • What i don't understand is whay they don't call this a bolero when it is a bolero. Now what do you guys call a bolero in ballroom? Because it is obvious that there is no "clave" in this bolero that you guys call rumba, although your explanation it's so much better than people just giving you the thumbs down.

  • we call it rumba because we play rumba on it , if it has the count of rumba for us it is rumba , no matter if it i sbolero or something else :P

  • Get over yourself. It's international ballroom we're talking here, not Cuban. There is more than one way to skin a cat!

  • rumba je moj ples.........moja ljubav!!!!!

  • i dont really understand what rumba is about..???

  • rumba is sex on the dancefloor, seriously.

  • CLASSY ~!

  • too short... i love rumba very very much.... 5 stars from me!!!

  • very lovely...rumba is my favorite :)

  • Hello, I have a feeling it might be Eydie Gorme.

  • The Watson today is completely from this old clip that we see here. He learned to be more Macho, to be able to do staccato and somehow to be able to do OFF-BEAT! Ever since he teamed up with Carman, the feminine quality of his movement seemed disappeared all together! Isn't it amazing?!---dancewu(dot)net

  • This is latin at its best, superb interpretation and lovely music, the male dancers spiral at the beginning is perfection.

  • now is this bryan carmen (much younger?) but still generally regarded as one of the best latin dancers in the world ? If so, I don't follow all these comments about "it's crap" or "i can dance better" etc. Do you think he's just duped people into thinking he's a fantastic dancer ? yes, no doubt that's it, he's simply fooled hundreds of judges over the past decade ... sorry for being sarcastic, but some of these comments about the quality of his dancing are simply arrogant and ridiculous.

  • Bravo, 8 out of 10!

  • more like 6 out of 10. not enough rotation on hips. slavik and karina are much better.

  • so hard to keep my both legs straight and tightened all the time!

  • It's best we keep your private life out of this. Let's stick to talking about dancing.

  • Love Karen she's the best!!!

  • What is the name of the song?

  • goddamn it...i think if i try hard enough i can dance better than that...i never liked bryan watson very much...but in this video he's too lazy...he's dancing like a beginner

  • you dont have to try to be better than him in this vid his dancing is CRAP

  • this video was made back in the late 90s or early 2000s-it was a different style of rumba. Also, dance is subject to different interpretations. Bryan may have interpreted this song to have slower, more graceful movements rather than the somewhat staccato-like movements popular today.

  • i know its "old style" but karen is dancing reaalyy good but bryan isn't

  • I agree with you. Looking and Karen and Bryan I can see a difference here. Look at Bryan's feet compared to Karens. Karen is using her ancles and feet beautifully and you can see the connection with the foor and foot pressure and soft foot action. On the other hand, Bryan seems to actually take his feet off the ground rather than keeping it connected to the floor. To me, he doesn't really look like he's using his feet the best here...

  • Hewllo, You obviously dont have a clue about latin dancing.

  • especially that spiral he did at the beginning(0:20). that had no energy at all.

  • Hello, true professionals dont need energy, they have natural talent, which Bryan has always had. He makes it look easy.

  • Hmmm.. When you do a spiral, you hesitate ever so slightly when you "spin". this is very standard rumba. it is not a function of talent. it is just simple rumba technique. it has nothing to do with choreography or talent.

  • Who sing this song?

  • I think it's Quando vuelvo a tu lado from Eydie Gorme

  • The song is actually "What a difference a day makes", recorded by Dinah Washington in 1959 and written by an American non-Latino named Stanley Adams. Sorry to have to disappoint all you Hispanics.

  • The song is actually "Cuando vuelva a tu lado" lyrics and music written by Maria Joaquina De La Portilla Torres, a Mexican lady who lived from 1894 to 1951 aka Maria Grever, who died nine years before an unamerican (because he was not from any american indian tribe), named Stanley Adams, wrote lyrics in english for Mrs. Dinah Washington (another unamerican) to sing. Sorry to have to educate all you europeans.

  • María Grever, wrote the song. In fact, she was already dead when Diva Washington recorded the song in '59. The remarkable Stanley Adams penned the English lyrics, but Maestra Grever composed the tune and the original lyrics in Spanish. Madam Grever and Mr. Adams receive credit depending on which set of lyrics you search on. A Google search will substantiate all of this.

  • And you probably would like to disappoint us by telling us that the song "Besame Mucho" was written by Paul McCartney, wouldn't you? In fact that song was also written by another Mexican woman Consuelo Velázquez. Check your facts before you express yourself.

  • Oh, there are many, many ways in which I would love to disappoint you.

  • And why do you have these feelings for Hispanics? When was the last time that you went to your shrink?

  • You should remember, since you were also with him that afternoon, secured by your restraints and accompanied by security personnel from your institution.

  • What's your time zone? Why are you awake? Shouldn't you be in bed already?

  • I knew it wouldn't be long before you started broaching the matter of bed with me. I'm sorry but I'm not that kind of boy.

  • You wish! Unfortunately for you, I don't do boys only girls. Sorry!

I understood why you were awake last night. It was daytime for you! Your time zone is "No UTC/GMT offset". Therefore, you're probably asleep right now. I could call you all kinds of names, and you would not be able to defend yourself right now!! But I wouldn't do that. I only would call you names to your face! ;-)

  • I'd heard that you were trying to move on to girls. It might at least give your right wrist a chance to recover some strength.

  • Yeah, it's coming along. It's getting stronger by the minute. Would you like to feel it? On second thought, no. I'm not sure that I want you touching me. You seem to be overly preoccupied with homosexual themes. Is that some sort of projection? Was there anything in your childhood that might shed light on your preoccupations?

  • Other people have 'second thoughts' but I see you have only one. To be honest, I'm surprised you have that many. You're clearly a modest man with an awful lot to be modest about.

  • I'm glad you understand and appreciate me. Thanks!

  • Understanding and appreciating you will be my mission from this day forward.

  • Hush, little one, we are all "virtual" on Youtube. Whether we actually exist as people is a secret never to be told.

  • Agreed. Good talking to you. Goodbye.

  • Do you happen to know who recorded this particular rendition of "Cuando Vuelva a Tu Lado". Not knowing who recorded it makes it very hard to find it online.

  • I'm afraid not. I've quickly gone through the multitude of versions on Youtube and this one doesn't seem to correspond with any of them.

  • Thanks for looking. Why are you interested in ballroom dancing in general and in rumba in particular?

  • I love them too, they are really great

  • i love them!

  • Does anyone know what is the name of this song please?

    Thanks!

  • Cuando Vuelta A Tu Lado

  • The name of the song in english is " What a difference a day makes "

  • Yup. Great to see clips of them dancing together.

  • Is this Bryan and Karen????

  • Karen allright!
