  • I got the sense that he is implying fluoroquinolones could not be used for asymptomatic bacteriuria in pregnant cases.

  • A para-clinical pathology curriculum does in fact accommodate for treating of "complicated versus uncomplicated UTI" , preferentially in the aetiologic sense. If he were treating of UTI as per a clinical medicine lecture, the concept of "complicated vs uncomplicated UTI" would fall as the differential treatise for any admission, and as shaping to the substantial Dx for chronologic ward management for the suspect case .

I did a case study on this not too long ago and wish I had this to learn from first before I spent hours on my paper and presentation.
