The Who By Numbers is such an underrated album. I think it might be better regarded if the cover was better. John Entwistle was an amazing artist - really - but that cover was very, very far from what he was capable of. Even Roger Daltrey said in an interview that he didn't like the sleeve design, and he did have a point. It's especially disappointing when you consider how great the sleeves for Tommy and Quadrophenia were.

Brilliant. The right hand/acoustic work is outstanding and captures the sonic attack and withdrawal so like Pete. Nice doubling with base to cover Moonie's sneaking some fun past Glyn Johns near close. Vocals are well done. Heart aching lead runs (that fabulous tone) are not here but the 'spirit' of the song is captured for sure.

A work of love and it shows.

This was a pretty basic one...just playing along to The Who track on an iPod then Eddie putting my bass onto his track. The others we've done are all recorded digitally for a good sound/mix and the vids are getting a little more ambitious too!
