This is one on one shooting. Really hard to judge a goaltender on one on one shooting drills. His positioning on angles is good, but how does he do in 2 on 0 situations, 2 on 1, constant offensive pressure, scrums in front. Stopping a puck from a distance knowing where it's coming from and knowing that there isn't someone that can be passed to isn't difficult, it's just a stretch.

give the kid some credit guys, his reflexes are sharp. He needs to learn not to move away from the ball as he moves across the crease, and I also agree that he needs to work on his butterfly style, but he keeps the ball out which is the entire point of goaltending isn't it? Not only that, besides his glove hand being pretty solid he has something very under-rated: a stellar blocker. Most goalies have a tough time with the blocker but he's got it pretty well down from what I can see.
