how can a guy like that survive so much, the best thing about this game is you play as a guy that looks really cool, like he can beat anyone, but they made it so that he doesnt look like he can beat anyone because of the gameplay you saw,QUESTION:Does the guy know how to work a sword, or he just slashing

The creator of the game said he didn't put in blood because it doesn't fit the hero fantasy . hes supposed to be a good character . not a blood thirsty killer ... if this game was gory it would be a murder simulator . and not what it is .

i think that the fact enemys actually bleed sand is cool! and the gameplay, graphics, music and level of bad-assness in this game actually got paired up with some PS3 and 360 games, it is SO COOL!!!

the hero looks awesome, when i first heard about this game i thought it was another Japanese person fighting to save his girlfriend but when i saw this trailer i had high hopes for this game. However one problem, why would a cowboy in ,whats probably the wild west, have a katana sword?. at least he has a revolver.

I agree with LordThree the gore is un-nessisary and the load times are killer along with thr random glitches that appeare rarely. Today I was playing and all of a sudden the screen turned all gray on me right as i was playing and it set me bac 2 achievments. XD

@crappybumbum Two reasons everyone is saying it.

1) Sometime in the melee or when you're fighting a boss and trying to fend off the henchmen at the same time, it's difficult to tell instantly if you hit them or whiffed on the swing because there isn't any blood flying as an indicator.

You can still tell, but you end up focusing on it more than you should.

2) Blood rocks, the more the better. Can you honestly name a single game ever that wasn't better with blood?

believe me, dude, this is nothing like the first game. it doesn't even feel related to the first game. everything about it is different, from the gameplay to the setting.

first of all, the first game was an fps with some occasional swordfights. red steel 2 is a first-person brawler where you switch between a sword and gun at any time you want. second, red steel 1's controls sucked. red steel 2's are amazingly accurate and gr8

true, assassin's creed 2 had a different setting. however, the gameplay stayed pretty much the same. red steel 2's is nothing like the first game (which is a good thing, because the first one was a joke). you still use both a sword and a gun, but it is handled totally differently.

RS1 was just an fps with some swordfights. RS2 is a first-person brawler where you change between sword and gun at any time

RS1's controls were horrible. RS2's are extremely accurate thanks to motion+, and are great
