shes not taking control, shes showing fear and you are telling her its okay to behave like that by holding her. This is not a good/healthy situation for any of those dogs
Look at the body language of your dog, teeth showing, ears back, tongue out, typical aggressive behaviour, i advice you to stop this before anything more serious comes of it
cec2050 your husky may bark or yap when playing, mine makes that chewbacca sound, some say talking, huskys howl quite a bit, many experts say that they howl because they like to, but not barking like those poor huskys on the video, it is not a palyful yap or bark, they really dont like the aggression being shown by the other dog and it is, as a husky owner you can tell the difference in a playful bark and and something more serious.
you need to get your dog to stop its aggressive behavior, you have your huskys barking because of it, husky's very rarly bark, my sibe has never barked in her life, they are distressed when they bark, when your other dog starts to snarl you need to punish him, put him outside etc etc but you do need to sort it quickly
@cbrboy76 whoa WTF is she doing same my husky never barks she howls occasionally when shes excited usually when shes about to go mushing/walking but yes u need to punish her i find tapping them on the nose works it dose with my sibe anyway and they are very stubborn dogs
@cbrboy76, huskies only barking when they are distressed is rubbish. Huskies don't often bark but they do occasionally. My huskies will give a single bark when they play together. That is hardly distressed behaviour!. I do however agree that the dog should not be rewarded for being aggressive towards other dogs.
You truely are rewarding bad behavior and it will result in unwanted aggression. Our shibas are not allowed to show aggression. They are punished with submission.
you are giving her positive feed back by holding her in your arms and petting her, while she growls at your huskie. This isn't smart in anyway, due to you actually making your dog feel as if its doing the right thing. This can result in behavior that is unwanted or even dangerous for dogs/children that do things it dislikes... see a dog trainer please
aw she/he is soo cute. so are your other huskies :) you're so lucky you have so many big dogs.. i want husky or a border collie but my house is too small for them :(
