Cold reading is easy. I learned some very basic cold reading techniques in the course of a few minutes, and with just that I can have a gullible person fooled. Fortunately for the world, I'm not a sociopath.

I just spent a few minutes watching some clips of Sylvia Browne and spent that time rolling on the floor, laughing at the questions, the answers, and the fact that people actually believe her. I believe that people can have a sixth sense about things sometimes: hello, it's called intuition. But seeing the dead? That's called hallucinations.
The worst is how much she cheats people of their money.

what is truly psychic is rarely seen and not controlled or understood. It is not reading a future nor a past nor even emotions it is something much more than mere reading. Unfortunately Most will not hear these words nor will they understand them. I do agree with this man though to a certain extent. I have never seen a professional psychic who was for real. Anyway Peace

Cold reading is easy. I learned some very basic cold reading techniques in the course of a few minutes, and with just that I can have a gullible person fooled. Fortunately for the world, I'm not a sociopath.

Because only a sociopath with no scruples would con somebody that way. I suppose I could use it as a magic trick, so long as everyone understands that it's just a trick, then it's no problem. Claiming to be a psychic and using trickery to prove it, however, is unethical.

Good luck, and remeber there are millions of gullible fools who desperately wish to fill your pockets with money. I just looked via Google at a few pages regarding cold reading: it's all out there for anyone who wants to learn. Of course "psychics" don't want people to know this stuff.
