@USCisbeast22 it's not really a 'run' - it's out of bounds and requires the hike that's shown in the video before it. It's the east face of Mt. Harwood, the peak just to the right of the highest (looking) peak in the snowy picture on the wikipedia article (won't let me link here). We skiied the chute from that peak down and to the right into the steep valley.

gorgeous vid...had a few great days at Baldy, when the snow was falling...although the road was shut by a 26 car pile up and I had to hike down..ha ha. To the snowboarding gal who can't spell "skiing" - saw lots of boarders on Baldy in WAY over their heads and bitching because of all the bumps and no grooming. There are exceptions, but nothing puts your body into the fall line like skiing, FYI, and that takes guts.
@GoProMatt2 this wasn't how it was all day, just during lunch when they were opening the lift. Half the people on the mountain lined up to try and get first fresh tracks.
@DiepTheChip4 there isn't really a base area in the normal sense, since there isn't always snow down to the parking lot. However, you ride up the chairlift to the notch and there is a beginner trail down to two chairlifts which both have a green trail off of them. It's not the ideal place for beginners, SnowSummit would probably be more fun, but you could pull it off if you're patient.

@Raynerbr0z - It depends on what you like. Baldy has what most consider the best steep terrain in SoCal. It has a lot of great, natural terrain features and a small boarding park. The crowd is different, the lines can be really long on a good powder day, or really short on a normal weekday. It's just about what you're into.
The line at 2:10 is the southeast face of Mt. Harwood. It's about a half-hour hike from the top of Chair 4 at Mt. Baldy. It's also the right peak at 0:28

Everything was cool....except for that lift line. But you can't complain for LA. I hope there are a couple decent powder days in 10-11. Rockin' that Chamber of Commerce pass this year.
