Hey paperclip didnt work... But i moved the tray around slightly while it was still stuck, hoping to unjam it and it wirked... Important though... The more u press the eject button while it doesnt open, the less likely itll ever open again

@CharityDiary There's a vertical slot and if you look closely a small button that can be pushed with a ballpoint pen tip. I'd be careful with using a paperclip to turn it off because you could scratch the electronics board.

But I don't think that doing with the Xbox 360 switched on will damage it as the disc reading is stopped when you press the eject button. But do not do this when your system is reading from the disc.

i have a quick fix that seems to work without any probing. Its only a temporary measure but if you have your Xbox standing vertically, turn it off, place it horizontally and take of faceplate, then proceed to open it normally. Works any time i need it to, without having to probe your xbox...unless your into that sort of thing...

Its common knowledge that most disk trays can be opened by poking a long and thin item throguht the small hole, Hows it work? The hole allows yo uto get access to the mechanism for opening and closing the tray. You push it backward and it lifts the draw up and opens the tray. you cna then pull the tray open :) Thumbs up if my usless knowledge helps.. XD

so the first hole on the right leads to no where.

so does the first hole on the left. so only the middle one gets to the gears that open the tray,

press the eject button on the console(never works on the controller)

then as its in the process of opening, put the pin in the middle whole(it should be like 1 inch deep coz that's where the gears are)

Don't listen to this, it didn't help. Just remove the face plate. Press the Eject button. Stick the needle or Paper clip under the Eject tray & w/o being too forceful try pulling the Tray & it should come out on it's own. After doing, try opening & closing it to see if it works.

I can tell you 100% that the best way, is not to use the paperclick. I had my xbox stuck and nearly paidn £60 for a repair, just follow these steps it should hopefully work (:

1. Make sure everything is on and all the cables plugged in

2. Take of the front cover

3. press open on the xbox

4. Push hard on the disk tray for 5 seconds

5. Let go and hopefully it will open

all thats in the hole is a gray plate it doesnt work. i figured out my own way all you need to do is take off the faceplate then hit eject and stick the paperclip under the disc tray and pull it open youll hear a different noise then let go. after doing this mine went up a little and wouldnt close but i just shoved it into place and now works fine

It works only once. I think there is nothing behind the hole. This is how i do it. First you stick the paperclip on the tray as if you are forcing it to open. Then press the eject button and once you hear a the gadgets tryin to op the tray, quickly release the paper clip and VAULA! its open
