I think this song is so amazing because even though she wrote it about a heroin addict, there are so many ways to apply it to yourself. I have always been obese and even though it sounds silly to a lot of people, sometimes food does numb the pain, and this song reminds me of those feelings (there's always some reason to feel not good enough and it's hard at the end of the day need some distraction etc) reminds me to embrace and feel feelings good or bad and not stuff them down.
This song is actually about a junkie, contemplating and then finally giving in to shoot up again. Under the weight of reality. It seems, that reality is too much for this person.

I stay in such a "hypervigilant" state and it is frightening. I was so social and loved to get out and do things. Now, I can hardly get my hand on the door knob to go out and do necessary errands (like grocery store). I am told PTSD "has me". That must be how the addict feels.I'm weary from the battle.

I lost my grandparent that I ever got to see I am only 11 years old and I don't have a grandparent I miss her so much She was really religous she read the bible everyday on her free time she prayed the rosary and always watched EWTN She smoked for about 60 years or so. She stoped when she found out she had cancer We took care of her for a year and a half then she went to michagain and my dad left me for 10 mounths then she died on a school day I miss her so much I want to thank all my friends

I think this song is so amazing because even though she wrote it about a heroin addict, there are so many ways to apply it to yourself. I have always been obese and even though it sounds silly to a lot of people, sometimes food does numb the pain, and this song reminds me of those feelings (there's always some reason to feel not good enough and it's hard at the end of the day need some distraction etc) reminds me to embrace and feel feelings good or bad and not stuff them down.

Everyone slaps their own meanings onto this song but originally it was exploring the emptiness that the addict feels and the battle he fights until he loses and eventually succumbs to the addiction he can't resist, night after night after night.

@TelecasterLPGTop This song means a lot to me. I have lived (if you call it that) with what has been diagnosed as Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for the last 5 years. I stay in such a "hypervigilant" state and it is frightening. I was so social and loved to get out and do things. Now, I can hardly get my hand on the door knob to go out and do necessary errands (like grocery store). I am told PTSD "has me". That must be how the addict feels.I'm weary from the battle.

I discovered myself as a depression patient. that's too bad when I try real hard to heal it on my own, when I beat myself to forget all the pain but a moment later, it appears it my mind again, it always does. I'm looking for the real peace of my life, just to be released from this pain and troublesome mind. I really want to be normal, there's no body around me who really understands what happens to me in past few years. this songs says all the things that have been happening to me :(

God took him away at Christmas day.For that i cant forgive him.He is now gone and people who knew him cant stop crying.He is a life lesson himself
